hi, just hoping a few of my questions might get helped here..first post. car was a one-owner lease california car, leased 10/06, but carfax shows one accident..1/07..sure didn't take long. anyway, the coupe is black and knowing how to 'feel' for paint lines, i ascertained before i bought a week ago (oh, car has 13k miles) that the whole driver's side was re-sprayed. i could feel the paint line in the panel seams all the way from the rear to the front panel..also a good eye will slightly see evidence of a little bodywork..maybe it was side-swiped..dunno. i have attached a copy of the hood..from where it bolts to the hinges, i can see where it was removed from the car (or perhaps another car donated this hood, but the telltale 'scrapes' around the bolt show that). i don't know if this hood is aftermarket..attached pic of its inside where there's a name..oem hood? also attached pics of where there should be something to latch down the hood rood that holds it up while working under hood..not one there so you just lay the rod down. i ordered this part, but getting it home, doesn't appear that it would fit..needs more than one hold to anchor this part to car..car only has one 'square hole'. also attached a pic of a silver, aluminum bracket which appears bent on my car..fron, driver's side..it's there with a piece of insulation to protect a line running by. also some pics roughly from the tops of where shock towers would be..the paint is chipped away on both sides, appearing like something was possibly pulling to align these fenders..wonder if it seems that way to you? finally, i have an aem intake, something aftermarket i know nothing about..it has a hose coming out from it near the firewall that sits high enough that it's rubbed the paint off a spot on the hood..should i be able to lower the intake in the rear..anyone else have this intake and this hose rubbing? basically, i'm trying to kinda figure out what sort of damage the car may have sustained..i know it's hard as hell not seeing the car in person, but any thoughts are appreciated! thanks!
ok...how do you attach pics here? 8-year, 8,000+ poster on a porsche forum, but can't figure out the 'insert image'..not seeing a browse function..?
