i was having problems engaging my clutch so i changed the slave cylinder and master cylinder hoping to solve the problem. after doing this i still get no pressure in my clutch pedal. I can also hear air seeping out somewhere, is this a common problem? if so where are the usual leaky spots, if not, any ideas on how to find the location?

If you can't find the leak, you may just want to get the 1 piece ss line that goes from the master to slave cylinder. That way there are only 2 places that it can be leaking, either at the master or slave connections, nothing in between. Also, you will only have to bleed it at the slave.

Unless the pressure plate springs are broken there should be pressure on the pedal. It sounds like you still have air in the system. Have you bled both the fender and slave bleeders? Usually it works best to bleed each point 3 or 4 times and alternate between the 2. It sometimes takes a few times to get all the air out, and then you need to set up the pedal stroke properly.

A vacuum leak sound could mean your clutch vacuum assist is leaking. Usually when that happens the engine will speed up when you push the pedal down as it's allowing more air into the engine. Unplug the hose and block it off so you don't have a giant engine vacuum leak and try it. The pedal will be much stiffer than normal.

Agreed, eliminate that 3rd bleed point. If you search around, you don't need to replace the entire line from the master, but get an adapter to eliminate the 3rd bleed point which is one stupid design.

Also, make sure you are bleeding it correctly. Start with the slave and bleed it. Then move to the alternate point and bleed it. *it is located on the passenger fender well. Repeat several times. Odds are, you still have a ton of air in there.

i will try bleeding it again but i dont think that is the problem as i have blead my clutch from both bleed points alternating for literally over an hour non-stop. i had to top up the fluid close to twenty times i did it so much. even tried gravity bleeding with no luck. even when the clutch is pushed in the slave cylinder piston harly moves, it moves slightly if the pedal is pressed repetedly. also when pushing the clutch pedal i can hear a quiet little hiss from inside the cabin of the car as if air was escaping somewhere.

In that case I'd say you got a bum master cylinder. Sounds like you have bled it more than enough
