need throttle body cable

was on freeway and the throttle body cable SNAPEd i dont know what the hell happend was not even racin. any ways got off free way and called a homie. and i hoped in the engine bay and my hoime was drivin. he put it in 1st and i gave it gas as he pulled out the cluch lol( racing cluch) i gave the car gas by opening the throttle body, only went up 2 2nd tho. did this for bout 1/2 mile @ 2am in the mor. lol .got the car home. now i need the cable any help??/

Hahahahahhahaha, thats priceless dude. My only advice would be to hit a junkyard, easiest Place I would assume, and cheapest. I don't remember if DOHC or SOHC throttle cables fit better, I'm sure someone will chime in on that.

SOHC cable will fit better. Hit up a junkyard.

sohc fits perfect, dohc needs to make a bracket. I run a dohc one, but the engine I just installed in my friend's car used an sohc cable and it fit w/o modification.

the bracket is just a flat piece of steel with a few holes drilled in it.

I know... I made one for my car, just pointing out the sohc cable requires zero effort.

thanks for the help guys. put it on 2 day feels better then befor. took it for hoimes 240. all he wanted was a #2 from jack in the box. lol. thanks

I'm trying to stretch a DOHC cable now and it's a pain. I'll probably do the bracket, but if I just swapped cables, how accessible is the area under the dash where it links up with the accelerator pedal?

It's not bad to get at. It's only 2 bolts.

that right. only 2 bolts. took me like 30 min to walk to hoimes house take his off and walk back home and put mine on. very easy to do. thanks
