does anyone here know how to remove the A-pillar cover/trim, the piece that runs from the base of the windshield, across the top, to the rear of the door. it appears to hold the door/window channel also, so i dont want to just rip it off. mine got cracked, dont ask how, i'm still p.o.ed about it. does it require any speciel tools, replacement clips etc..? i've searched for three days on here and another site with no luck. help??

Just feel where the piece is resisting the most, that is where the clips are and pull one by one...

yeah, it should pull off (clipped in), and if you're replacing it, don't worry about hurting it.

thanks guys, i found a free service manual download, hoping it will have exploded view of how seal is attached, if i can get it on my laptop. not worried so much about ruining the broken piece, just dont want to screw up window weatherstripping, or create any leaks, since there appears to be a seal between it and the roof. but at least it comes pre-painted so i wont have to worry about color matching. oh, and fyi, that piece alone is $368.00 from my local dealer.

You wont create any leaks as that piece does not serve as a gutter.... It is cosmetic to hide the seat belt mechanism behind it, and bare/painted metal...

Are yous till talking about the interior trim A-pillar piece? There should be no "painting" involved....it's plastic! And I just checked on http://www.everythingnissan.com, and they show that piece listed as $43.

You're talking about piece #4 here, right?
