Thanks for the quick reply. The rears were turned a few years ago (they had developed some premature grooving that did not re-occur once they were turned) and can't be turned again without exceeding the minimum limit. The fronts haven't previously needed to be turned and, presuming there is enough material for turning now, I suppose I could have the fronts turned and just get rear rotors...but I was worried about 2 issues: First, if I get new/different rotors for the rear, what about mixing rotor manufacturers/types of rotor, front and rear? Second, cutting the Stillen fronts (presuming they can be properly cut) and replacing the rears with new Stillens will cost about $300 (the Stillen website shows that the cross-drilled rear rotors are still available (but no listing for the fronts) at $202.37 + California tax + shipping for the pair + the cost to turn the fronts (est. $50+ here in San Francisco)). I'm all for trying to conserve the front rotors if possible, but (as you know) sometimes rotors are more prone to warpage when they get turned (even if, once cut, they don't exceed the minimum thickness). Brembos (for example, from TireRack) are un-drilled and un-slotted, but are priced at about $60 each...so, I could get new rotors all around for about the same price as new Stillen rears and cutting the fronts---thus, my quandry, and why I am asking for advice. Your thoughts? Thanks.
