Hi There !
I have recently purchased Infiniti 2008 G35x in black color. Condition is perfect.
I need suggestions for my following questions :
1. Which Engine oil should i used in my car?
2. Which Coolant and Power oil should i use for my car?
3. My navigation maps are old and i wanna update it but its expensive so is there anyway to update its map ?
4. I have heard that there are some chips in the market to increase the HP of car ......... is it true ? and if yes then which one should i buy it ?
I hope that this forum will help new members !

Welcome to NICO!

'Grats on the purchase! Let me try and give you a few answers:

1. I recommend royal purple. I've been using it for years and its always been great. My mpgs go up and the engine feels stronger.

2. Whatever nissan recommends. Coolant will last for 80k miles. For power steering/brake, use hq synthetic.

3. The HD NAV system will require a visit to the dealer. They have to access the rear of the head deck..so there's a labor charge + the update.

4. There isn't a "chip" for these cars...only a tune with an aftermarket programer. Not really necessary unless you have other mods that increase airflow.

Hey Joe which HQ synthetic fluid should i used ? DOT3 or DOT4 ?
More is there anyway to increase the mpgs of my car ? My car is giving 17 mpgs in city. Is it fine ?
I have seen that many guys have changed the map and rear dome lights with LEDs. Suggest me which LEDs lights should i use to change the interior lighting package ?

For brake fluid, Motul is the best. I believe DOT 4 is compatible with everything...NOT DOT 5. Double check with google.

A cold air intake will increase MPGs (if you can stay off the throttle). Anything that will improve airflow into or out of the engine will give you more HP and increase MPG.

The LEDs...do a search on the forum. I remember a few members have done the mod.

I got my lights from tunerdomes.com they have a full package for our Gs, covers every light but the vanity and glove box, but you can order them seperately.

From a MPG perspective I have really not noticed much difference when increasing airflow due to intake and exhaust. The ECU seems to do a pretty good job with air/fuel regardless of stock or aftermarket parts.

I saw a bump in MPG with my R2C intake. 1-2 for city and 2 for highway
