Here is my dilemma: A girl hit my car last week and I have decided to get the whole car painted. I have narrowed the choices down to silver metallic flake, charcoal aith just a little of blue and green pearl( bareley noticable but looks good), midnight black pearl, and last the factory pearl white. I can't decide and my friends opinions are not valued because they are into fast and the furious looking ****. They built an integra that looks like a cheap imitation of the one in the movie so I really don't value their opinions on the subject. Thanks for any advice.

i would like to see the charcoal color, but i would have to say the best color on an s14 is black, so go with the midnight black pearl, thats what i would do anyways

Black! Few things look finer than a clean, black paint job with a perfect body. Oh, and you need new friends!

Black if you keep it squeeky clean. I'm kinda partial to a blue too... if you don't wash it much, silver/charcoal.

SILVER!! Black gets dirty easily and if you get a ding or chip on a black paint job it's like Pamela Lee wearing a skin tight red latex dress at a funeral. its gonna stand out!

Well I wash and wax my car all the time now. Pearl white isn't very nice if it is dirty. So I don't have a problem with keepin it clean. Well I definetly have it down to three now: Black, Charcoal, and Silver. **** I have a hard time decicing....lol. Well I will wait for some more input, in the mean time I will have my guy mix up the 3 and see what they look like. Thanx for all the input so far. By the way, nice car Lepchitz1.

if the charcoal with hints of blue in green is the same as the paintjob i saw on a SVT Cobra, get that. It is the best looking paint on earth!

just remember that most reasonably priced paint jobs wont do stuff like your door jams, engine bay, etc. If you change the color you might want to plan for this. Of course if you're out to spend 2-3k on paint, have fun. And silver is cool :)ast

Lets just say the the paint job and repair will be done for very cheap. My friends uncle has been painting for 22 years and does exceptional work. For everything including materials i am having it done for $650 and I have to install a audio video setup in his truck. The only thing that isn't getting sprayed is the engine bay but i can fix that when I pull the motor for the turbo kit.

$650 for a full paint job with pearl is a steal!!! If he is painting the inside door panels with your engine bay its even more of a steal. By the way, get charcoal. Its clean, its hot during day and night, and it doesn't take so much of your time to keep it looking clean. Silver is a nice color but it only looks hot at night when it looks sort of like a gunmetal color. As for black, it is probably the cleanest color for the 240. But at night its hardly noticable, which is hot if you're racing and want your car to look evil, but other than that its not so appealing.

well the silver looked like **** when he sprayed it for me so it is down to the black pearl or charcoal/gunmetal. Yes it is a steal for the paint job, it always pays to have good friends in various branches of the auto industry.

gunmetal for sure, after a while the black will look like sh**! Everything shows up in black, even the tiniest things show up so much more with black. and if you dont prepare the car perfect before its sprayed on, and you leave some spots that arent completely smooth, it will show up so much with black. $650 sounds really cheap for a paintjob, especially with jams too. a black paint job only looks good if its perfect, a cheap black paintjob will look like $hit, however if you go with charcoal, if there is a little mess up, which will probably happen, it wont be near as noticable. But whatever you want, its your car.

well he is mixing the gunmetal/charcoal tomorrow while I am in class. It is a custom color so getting a pic will be hard but I will do my best. The closest thing to it is on the cover of the Feb. edition of Super Street. There is a supra with sikkens gunmetal- gray metallic. You will have to look past all the stupid *** stickers and such.....lol. My color is something like that but darker and alot better looking. My color is something like the hyper black finish on enkei wheels, maybe not to that extent but that is the general idea.

Well I looked at the black vs. the charcoal today. The black really didn't look that good. Plus i wanted house of color midnight black pearl......then I realized that the rest of my tuition is due soon. So i have decided to go with the gummetal/charcoal metallic. It is a beautiful color, kinda hard to picture but i will post a pic as soon as it gets done.Thanx for all the input.

I love my factory Champagne color I got on my 92 s13 with tan interior (vary rare) but for a S14 black looks the best just needs lots of attention. If I repaint it will be Champagne all over again.

Has anyone ever seen another S13 240sx with a tan interior. When I was searchign for mine I only saw one with tan, the one I own.every single one I saw was either grey or leather never tan. And looked at about 30 different 240's when I was searching and every 240 I see on the street I always look for the tan interior and never saw one. I've also noticed the champagne exterior is very rare I've only seen maybe 5-6 ever and they were mostly 89-90 style.

Sorry to be a thread jacker, but does anyone know what color the TVR Tuscan White-blue pearl thingy is? That is the color I want to paint my car, and I need the paint code and the color name for my body shop to get it. Thanks in advance.

Check out the color on the TVR website. go to http://www.tvr-eng.co.uk and then hit virtual showroom and then build your own. Choose the Tuscan and then choose the second color. Let me know what you think.
