Yeah I like black very much but i wanted house of color midnight black pearl. However i am in college and i am gettin a deal on this paint job but not a good enough deal to get house of color paint. The black they have isn't that great and the gunmetal i have picked out is very sexy.....i will post it in about 2 weeks. As for the tvr paint 180 crafter, all you need is the code for that color and take that to the best autobody shop or the one you trust the most. I think that paint is pretty expensive though but well worth it. I thought about that color too but my friend has a 300zx that color.

Whats the color code on the paint?? I work at a custom bodyshop and we do house of kolor and ppg and I want to see what the color looks like :). House of kolor is expensive because it is a custom paint system, but it looks really damn good after being sprayed!!

Ok i will post the paint code for my color tuesday...we changed it up a bit. Its a little different cuz i used sikkens paint books to pick it out but i am going a bit darker with the new paint. As for the tvr paint, my friends 300zx looks bad ***. I would say go for it if you like that color. I don't know what paint tvr uses but house of kolor has the exact same color. Tuesday when i get my code I will get the white to and post them.

Hey Trueslide, You said you use house of kolor. Someone needs the paint code for pearl white with the metallic blue reflection in it. We can't find our House of Kolor book so if you could post that code. Still mixin mine up but I will ave it before spring break........hopefully painted too, I would hate to drive 800 miles with a dent and the desperate need of a new paint job if I have to drive. Oh well, I should have the pic of my car and the code for it by next thursday....I hope :(

I would say the charcoal with the pearl thing would be sweet.

I have seen similar jobs but not exactly that one though. Good luck.

I painted my car Escalade white with orange pearl, got a lot of compliments from it. I'm chaging the color though to Blue Anthorcite (Audi A6). Should be done this spring.

Alright, I am about to buy my 2nd 240 tomorrow. My first 240 was originally red, then I painted it silver. Wrecked and then painted it Solar Yellow (2002 Nissan color). It was fantastic. Keep your doorhandles black. I am buying my new 240 tomorrow that is silver. I am painting it black. The yellow is great, but the cops love to look at it if you know what I mean. I will try to put a pic of it yellow in the boards tomorrow if i can hook up my scanner.

ive got a couple questions: 1.how much did yall pay for paint? 2. did you paint the car yourself?

im asking cause i just dented the hell out of my passenger side door and the part below it. i digure since im going to have to paint about 1/5 of the car, then go ahead and save for the whole car to be painted...probably black.

I paid 350 for the paint and materials. I am not spraying the car but I am doing all the prep work and assisting in fixing the huge *** dent. Overall it is costing me $500 but that is because the guy that is doing it is a close friend to my family. The reason I don't have the paint code is that I have mid terms out the *** so I haven't had time to do anything yet. I am leaving for spring break thursday and won't be back till the following wednesday. After that I will have the insurance money and have some pics and the code for the paint.

Also, I am gonna be in daytona for spring break, are there any 240 members that live there?

Ok for all that wanted to see the color of my car.....Look for the pics of sandmans thread in new body kit. That is the the base color of my car. I am now in the process of sanding and repair work to the quarter panel so pics of mine shouldnt be too far off.

I have seen some nice colors on 240s. I remember being in Seattle visiting my uncle and seeing a 240 with one of those color change paint schemes. It was copper metallic and it changes to an oxidized copper turquoise. I really like the look of copper metallic.

To answer another question. The TVR colors I think are mixed by TVR only for their cars. I will admit, those chameleon colors look hot on anything. I would try e-mailing their headquarters in Blackpool, UK for the codes or for the paint.

The only thing I will say is that you have to be careful what color you put on your car. You have to remember that not all cars look good in any color. To give you an example: you can have a color like electron blue(Civic Si blue) and it will look good on a small car with a lot of contours, but it will probably not look good on say...a Mercedes S class, or say orange on a Crown Vic (I wish, maybe cops would be easier to spot).

The color has to go with the personality of the car. You cant just choose a color just because you like it, it has to fit the car. I thnik Gunmetal was a great choice in color. If it is what I think it is. A dark shark grey....
