Hello,

I have already worn through my first set of tires at a ripe low milage and am looking to find tires that have a larger footprint to accomodate more/less wear for the way that I drive (12k Miles and tires need change)

Ive been looking at a few things and styles like Rota Slipstream's look great and all.... but what Size for my Versa do I need? Whats the offset for the 4-lug mount?

And does anyone have recommendations for new/used? My parents are buying this for me and they are not willing to spend alot of money AT ALL! Im talking like $500 with Rims and Tires + installation

If anyone has some info/recommenatios to offer - post up

Thanks,Sam

you may have to pitch in some money of your own to get over $500, more than likely you will only get tires with that kind of money.

how the hell did you only get 12k out of the tires?

i beleive the offset needs to be between 35 and 45 (not 100% on that, mine are 42) and the lug pattern is 4-4.5 or 4-114.3 (same).

EV will probably stop by to tell you what i fvcked up on

Just got a set off of CL for 275 w/80% tires. I've been looking at your area on CL for a couple of weeks and rims that'll fit come up quite a bit in your area. Mine are 02 Altima rims. 98-02 15"Alitima 4 lug 240sx 98-01 Infiniti G20 models will fit. A lot of these deals come with tires plus you might get some wider ones to boot. 195 or 205/60/15 will fit. If you go new you're talking 750 easy. There should be plenty of old farts that drove their old Altimas and Infinitis down there to chose from. You might get lucky and find some aftermarket rims that'll fit but a lot of them are all scraped up.

\Go to tirerack and look at the reviews. Most have been lucky to get that.

Here's some rims in Tusconhttp://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/604331216.htmlhttp://tucson.craigslist.org/pts/604445831.html

Here's a set in PHX w/new tires for $250http://phoenix.craigslist.org/pts/605660843.html

Here's a catalog to pick out styles of OEM wheelshttp://www.wheelcollision.com/nissan.htmWhat's your crime rate in your area. It's nice to have bling wheels. It's also nice to have wheels on your car when you come out of your insert here and not up on concrete blocks.Remember, 4 lug Nissan wheels don't fit a lot of stuff. Multi-luggers on the other hand garner the attention of Honda ricer thieves. They scope your car out a lot of times before they take them. Almost on a "per order" theft system

Translation: He just got a set of wheels and tires off of Craigslist, with 80% remaining tread, for $275. He also gave you some models whose rims will fit with no problems.

And dude... slow down and stop trying to drift of every corner... And if you haven't been doing so, rotate your tires every 10,000 miles.

Blind - nope, looks good to me!

It cost me $30 to have my original sensors swapped over to my new wheels.

17s?i was told that the sebsor was to long for 17s, and if hit a bump just right it would break them

well what is going to happen if i just threw some aftermarket wheels on without swapping over the pressure sensors? I assume the light will just stay on.

.....

oooookay...

Well, I've never been told that. The sensors are in the valve stem so the DIAMETER of the rim has no bearing on whether or not they fit...

And with all the fun-tastic potholes in downtown seattle that I hit, I should have broken a sensor by now if that's the case.

(they weren't, by any chance, trying to sell you a new set were they?)

Still gonna be around 7 bills by the time he gets all the accessories needed + balancing. Those tires are nice but at 280 rating he'll have em burned off in no time
