Just did my CA18DET swap, and I'm having some problems. The main problem is that the engine does NOT want to rev past 4k rpm. It feels like fuel cut off at about 4500. The turbo has been uprgraded to a GTiR T28, and I have a side mount intercooler from a blacktop SR. I'm thinkin maybe the the ECU I have is the stock CA ECU, and then engine should have come with a modified ECU to accomodate for the larger T28. What do you guys think it might be?

Thanks for all your help.

nope, the stock ECU isn't your problem, the wife's CA spins the S14 screw up in the blink of an eye. Something is amiss. put a gauge on the fuel delivery line and make sure you pressure is solid and increases with boost. Check your plugs and coils to make sure they are functioning correctly. If you have a BOV make sure it's not coming open as you rev.

Run diagnostics on your ecu and see if you have any errors. It is possible that your maf is acting up, boost leak, fuel pressure is weak.Do you have the detonation sensor hooked up?

Definitely do the diagnositcs first.

Good luck,PULSAR GTRRafi
