Need help pleeease

my 93 g20 won't start, its definately electrical i was on the highway today and the radio kept on turning off then on. It sounds like an alternator to me. I jumped it twice and it turned on. But when not being jumped it sounds like a weak turnover and cuts out. So is this the alternator or what and how much would this cost me???

Used alternators run 60-70 dollars, if that is the problem. Is your battery light coming on as well? You can change the alternator yourself if that is the culprit.

try checkin for a loose ground connection. something that simple would be an easy fix. i just don't want to see u waste ur money on something u possibily don't need.
