Okay i really think something is wrong i changed out my front main seal, took off the timing belt and all of that stuff. Put the timing belt back on. Then i put new spark plugs in. so i goto start the car and nothing happens it jsut turns over but doesnt start. i thought maybe i put the timing belt on wrong. so i redue all of that and try to start again and still doesnt start but as the motor is turning over some smoke came from my resistor. Im assuming i need another one now. Could that be why it didnt start the firest time. I couldtn smell any gas when i tried to start it the first time before my resistor went crazy. I need to get my car back on the road very quickly, is there any other resistors that will work. any help is appreciated. thanks

you mean the dropping resistor for the fuel injectors? I don't know how that could have been screwed up with what you did..

assuming nothing else is fried you can slap in a DSM resistor from a 1g turbo eclipse, have to rewire the connector..

what i think may have caused it was when i was putting the cas back in it accidently hit some metal ( the key was on the "ON" postion i didnt know) and it make kinda of a spark sound. i dont know if this caused my dropping resistor to go bad or not but it wouldnt start.

if that happened putting in the CAS then who knows what else you friend, quite probably the whole ECU.

when you put key to ON do the green/red lights on the ECU light up solid?

Yes the green and red lights both come on.
