I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to get a G37 coupe but need help deciding which trims to get. What's the difference between the 2008 Sport and a Journey beside the 19'rims on sport? There's only a thousand dollars difference in price at my local dealer.

Sports Black $26,980, Auto trans, 23K miles

Sunroof, Nav, rear cam, leather, 19' rims, Xeon HID, Bose speaker, tire pressure monitoring, etc.

Journey Grey $25,980 Auto trans, 22K miles

Sunroof, Rear cam, Nav, Bose speaker, leather, tire pressure monitoring, etc

What should I get?

The main difference is the tires and wheels. There might be a difference in the brakes but I'm not really sure. If you drive hard or intend to track the car this might be important.

Since it looks like they are similarly equipped I think there are two main things to consider. The sport coupe tires are staggered and cannot be rotated. Consequently the balance of the tires and vehicle alignment must carefully be maintained. the sport will burn through tires more quickly than the journey whose tires can be rotated. Also there is a wider selection of tires in 18" as opposed to 19" and at a better price. Also the ride will be slightly better on the 18"

The second thing is how anal you are about cleaning and waxing the vehicle. My 03 coupe was gray(platinum graphite) and could go weeks without being fussed over. Have you ever owned a black car? They are dirty two hours after you clean it. That being said I think they are beautiful when all shined up and everyone should own 1 black car (mine was a 99 Maxima) in their lifetime.

I would have thought there would be more than a 1k difference in price but that may be due to what they gave the former owners in trade. G coupes are wonderful cars. Good Luck! :bigthumb:

Doesn't the Sport have the Sport Seats?
If so, make sure that you are comphy in the Sport Seats.....take it on an extended ride before pulling the trigger.
Also, make sure to check carfax and all panels for repair

I love how they advertise tire pressure monitoring like it's some great option. It's been mandatory equipment for a few years now.

Ask for the Carfax!
