i bought a 89 240 with a blown block.. it has a sohc... i have a guy lined up to sell me a dohc engine will it bolt up to my 89 trans? thanks in advance! cant find anything on it thanks

Im not sure but I think it will....but theres other stuff involved like wireing.

ya it will bolt up to your sohc transmission. but there is alot of other stuff you need. wiring, ecu, ps lines and res, maf, coil/starter module, throttle cable, bunch of different stuff. you just need to search for the swap info. im right in the middle of the swap on my 89 so i know what your going through.

yea just trying to get everyuthing running,so i can have a car to drive for rite now...bad time to be doin work outside with the snow too it really sux. i plan on researching just working non stop last few weeks i do elictrical for new homes and we are slammed with work.thanks for the replys
