THANK YOU!!!! I'll give them a call. I paid $2,100 for the headers. Haven't ordered the CATs yet. Wanted a recommendation on them to make sure I was getting the right ones. PPE recommended Magnaflow 59905, but those don't have o2 sensor ports. Won't that cause the CEL to stay on and prevent me from passing emissions testing?Menofgrace7 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 3:35 pmHi. My mechanic at Autonology in Evergreen Park at 101st and western can do it. And by the way if you don't mind how much did you pay for the PPE and do you have hiflowcats? If so what brand? Im looking to do the same. Thanks.
From what I was told they will work for all 5.6 engines. Double check to make sure. I believe the only model that was an issue is the AWD version, which is what I have. If it fits mine it should fit them all. I'd ask to make sure, though.Menofgrace7 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 3:48 pmProbably. Will those Headers work for the S model as well?
Will do. and thanks again. I was literally just venting to my wife about this LOLMenofgrace7 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 3:50 pmAlso ask for Eddie. He's the owner. Tell him David Brumfield recommended them. They've been in business for over 20yrs. At that same location. Ive been dealing with them for at least 10yrs. They do awesome work and are reasonable.

I'm still looking into the cats. Are all Magnaflow cats hi flow? If so, there are a few options I've found.Menofgrace7 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 11:53 amSame here. Hey im looking for hi flow cats for my M56S. Any suggestions?
With the custom headers I have been looking at universal cats. Magnaflow has several that have o2 sensor ports. I'll probably go with one of those. One of the ones I found was # 94056. I'll be calling the shop you recommended this week and will confirm with them before I order.Menofgrace7 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 01, 2022 4:44 pmYeah but i talked to them already. They have a part number but the part hasn't been created yet. They cant find An M56 in California where they are. Our cars are rare.
You can delete the secondary cats without touching the primary. What I did was delete the secondary cats along with the y-pipe and resonator; replacing it with 2 1/4" exhaust connecting to a Jones Exhaust x-pipe and replaced the OEM mufflers with the Infiniti Sport ones. Didn't have to touch the primary cats or header. Several other users here have done the same or similar. I'm pretty sure I copied a lot of what I did from armybrat, except he did 2 1/2" exhaust.Menofgrace7 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 06, 2022 7:47 amOk. Ill look at those cats. I want to get the ones from the the headers and delete the back 2. My guy did that on his in Texas and hasn't had any issues with emissions. Or im going to have to get rid on my car. The dealer wants 3500 just for the front 2 and 3100 in labor!
If it comes to this and the car has to go out of town, are you able to operate without the vehicle for a few days or is this your primary vehicle?
If it comes to me taking the car out of town I would plan on staying in a hotel and work remotely for a few days until it’s done. It isn’t my preference, but I’d be willing to do it depending on how far I’d have to travel. As far as my garage, yes. I have a 2-car garage at my house that could be used. I don’t have a lift or very many tools, though.
I found a shop in South Chicago Heights, IL that did the job. Excellent work.
