If you've never heard of them, do yourself a favor and buy a CD. Mega technical death metal band. I've been listening to them for a few years now and the guitarwork still blows me away.
The first CD was written in '93 or '94, the guitarist performed all the guitar and bass tracks, and programmed the drums. He couldnt find anybody in Germany who played as fast and efficient as him. Later on in 1999 he eventually pieced together a 4 piece band. Fast tempos, usually 200+, frequently with 32nd or 64th leads. Lots of odd time signatures. Its awesome. Muhammed Suicmez is basically the Yngwie or Friedman of death metal.

Fast? Yes. Technical? Yes. Insanely difficult to play? Yes.
But I cant get into them because of the singing. The actual music is awesome though.

Insane is not even the word. That sweeping just before the verse in incredible.
When I first heard death metal, I didnt like the screaming and growling either. I was almost completely turned off of it. But since I love **** thats incredibly hard to play, I found myself playing the songs even though I hated the singing. I eventually got used to it, and I kind of like it now. I cant do death metal 100% of the time, I have to have bands that do clean vocals too. My favorite bands are the ones who sing clean vocals and the screams with the guitarwork to back it up.
