anyways, it just hit me this morning why my compression numbers were so low. i was in such a rush to see what was wrong with my car i forgot to do a few things to get the most accurate numbers. i checked the compression on the motor cold and didnt hold it WOT. so my compression should be pretty decent. it hasnt felt down on power or anything, i can still spin the crap out of second gear

i finally got it to idle decent. now if i can just figure out why my car keeps going ape **** ill be good. it keeps cutting out so bad i cant even make it up my driveway. damn shielded wire. im gonna try the harness from the fastback for now, at least then it should run pretty good.

any suggestions as far as bearings i should get for the fastback? should i go the advance route or order come clevite's?

Your right I am not a contributing thats why I get emails from new members everyday asking for help since I started the "How to Post a Picture" Thread. Thanks for reminding me that I don't have a running nissan because some people wanted to screw me and sell me a car that the body work is more than the ****ing car is even worth.

Im not getting in the drama but Mike was right to warn about post whoring, and if Triple240 would have said that he was about to post whore so he could sell some **** nobody would have cared or said anything about it. It all boils down to respect for each other, if i was post whoring i would want someone to warn me and if im going to post whore i would make sure everyone knows first. Actually it is the a-pillar on one car and the radiator support on another (I got from James not complaining about that.) Anyway I was quoted a price by a body shop, but did not get it in writing. Unfortunately they went back on their word. Anyway thats why no engine.

Well everyone, once again I'm without a vehicle. My leaking exhaust manifold turned into a 911 call to come put my car out cause it was in flames. I'll try to get some pics by the end of the week, but the main thing is that I was able to save my brand new 12 pack of Corona. I'm wanting to get back on track with my 240 project, but I may pursue something a little more practical for family stuff in the interim. Idk, maybe I'll even get a truck of sorts.

Well in summary, the damage is the following: Entire front end is toast, including melted front bumper, and the inside is pressure washed thanks to the local fire company. Everything else is in good shape. I'm pretty much chucking this as a loss and a lesson learned--next time get full coverage! : Although I loved my 240, I will move on to a wrx in the interim and then pick back up on my Project Silvia a little bit later.

Idk Jordan, it's pretty bad off. I haven't been able to go down there to get any pics of the current state. You would have to come pick it up obviously, and you'll also need some new front tires. I left the car w/ the towing company that came and picked it up from off the side of the road. I was gonna sell it to the recycling center over in Lexington. I was offered $6/100 lbs which I equated to about $175, I'm just not sure if I feel like going through the headache. I would probably be able to get that much if I parted the car out I suppose...I would be happy just to be able to get back the $160 I had to spend in towing fees.

when do you wanna come help? lol. i really dont know man cause i really dont wanna be out in the cold working on it. the real question is should i go ahead and turbo it while its out of the car and then drop it in turboed or drop it in now and turbo it later. no matter what i choose i still want to put in that 5 speed transmission when i do it.
