yeah, I read your post blah blah blah. Everybody who replied is right, you bought junk and got upset when it didn't work. I tried to talk you out of selling your S14, because it looked like an easy fix. Well, I'm not going to try to talk you out of selling these 2 cars. But why give up on 240s? For the money you have in these 2 cars you are not going to be able to get a reliable anything, it just doesn't happen. You're either going to have to sink some money in a motorset for your black one, and maybe a paint job, or spend a fair amount on another S14. Either way, if you decide to do one of those things I will look high and low to find you the best deal. It's just never going to happen without working for it. I'm sure everybody here will help you out as well. You just gotta make a decision on a path to take and go for it. In the mean time, you know I'm looking for a clean shell if I don't get brandon's coupe, so keep me in mind

You'll be back, they always come back.

You don't have it that bad, at least you can drive one of your 240s(even if it does have problems), we all know how many 240s I have, and how many I can drive(legaly).

Sorry Chris, i was hanging out with everyone last night at the movies and we went behind the mall to have some fun and we got a phone call that there was a car accident over by our school. One of our friends died instantly, ofcourse she wasnt wearing a seatbelt and then the other was in critical condition also not wearing seatbelt. Both got ejected. The one Got lifted to Charlotte Medical Center so we drove up there around 11 and didnt get home til 4. Her dad says he can barely recognize her.

wow, i'm so sorry to hear that. i just witnessed an accident on friday night. where i live at, you can see the main road, and it is a big hill. someone tried to cross it, and wasn't paying attention and slammed into a caravan at 50mph and ejected a 4 year old girl 45 ft onto the grass infront of a car dealership. amazingly she lived and was able to run to her mom. i was outside on the phone when it happened; i thought it was a gun shot or something!

So I just got my new 17x9's....they are pretty damn wide. Should be a nice stretch with a 225/45. I just ordered a new knock sensor so when that shows up, and my car stops throwing codes and finally decideds to run right, we need to get a meet going...pronto!

no way!!! I bought my MB Motorsports Competition's about 2 months ago but just had them shipped to me. They are 17x9 +27. They MIGHT hit my coilovers up front, but I have a 7mm spacer just in case.

Do you know or have access to anyone with a fender roller? I was thinking about buying an Eastwood unit and then reselling it for $20 less or renting it out to other for like $30 +shipping with a $150 returnable deposit. Do you think body shops have them? I will probably just use a baseball bat but want to keep that as a last resort if I cant find a fender roller.

That will be a stretch for those sizes but on 240 are you going for the VIP look?

I've been monitoring the board via my cell phone, I just haven't been @ my pc to respond to anything and it takes way too long to type in a post with the key pad on my phone. Black on Gold I'm sorry to hear about your friends, that is really unfortunate. I've been in an accident before and ever since then I ALWAYS wear my seat belt. As a matter of fact, that's the second thing I do after I start the car. I know that seatbelts save lives and it's good practice even though it's the law.Next thing, dude I know that you've got a sour taste in your mouth about 240's but I kinda agree with the crowd on this one. IMO you shouldn't give up on 240's because you got bad deals on yours. I realize the situation that you're in and I'm sure it's tough having 2 p.o.s. cars and you still need $$. Used cars come with problems, some more than others, even if you can't see them initially, eventually they will rear their ugly heads. If you can sell what you have and start with a clean slate I think you'll be ok. There are lots of good deals out there, you just have to search and use good judgement before you give away your money. I bought my car for $1300 cash and it runs great, albeit it's beat up on the outside. Exterior condition is a non factor to me unless it will hinder the safety or driveability of the car. My engine has 166,xxx on it and the only thing that I've really had a problem was the starter and the connector for the MAF sensor which both have been resolved for less than $50. As I've said already, it's a long term project car for me, but I still wanna drive it in the meanwhile. You should consider what Chris said and check out some autions, you'll be surprised at some of the good deals that you can get without having to shell out an a$$ of money.

scs13 how did Nicofest turn out? I was in the same situation as Duke, couldn't scrape enough money together in time. Hopefully there will be another one on the east coast soon. I'm already starting to save for Nopi next year.

sorry for the long post but I figured that I had a little catching up to do.

Welcome whiteshirtguy, glad to see more people from the metro on the board...tell us a little about yourself if you don't mind.

Hey Chris, I got my lighting situation squared away so now I've got my fog lights working and my sleepy eyes a back on deck.

HAHA, man 225/45 is NOTHING. Its a weak stretch at most! I know of guys putting 225's on 10.5" wide Work wheels and getting them to seat without putting 1 bajillion psi in them.17x9 +15 with 225/45's

I will eventually run 235/40's but for now 225 should get me sharper handling and better/more predictable break away. No VIP style...just need/like a stiff sidwall.

That looks a little too awkward for me, I'd be afraid of trashing my rims in the event that I accidentally get too close to the curb or something.

No problem man, just go to the parts store and pick up a terminal set and a rocker swith if you don't already have them and we can take care of that in less than 20 mins. You might wanna go ahead and pick up some aux lighting thogh if you plan to leave them down all the time like I do, nite time visibility is nil.

i have to agree with bryt on this one, they do look a little akward. if i have 9 inch wide wheels, i would go as fat as i could, possibly 295 or even 305, of course wide body kit!!

and bryt, they won't come all the way up at nite?? i'm thinking about going with the s13 front so i guess some aux. light wouldn't be a horrible thing. hmmmm... maybe even the h4 conversion pop ups with an HID retrofit in them..hmmmm sounds like a winner!!!!
