I don't think you could get them for free. I read this on their terms and conditions page.

Prices – All prices stated herein are F.O.B. Harahan, LA, unless otherwise specified by Seller. Seller reserves the right to invoice shipments according to the prices prevailing at the time of shipment. All prices and discounts are subject to change without notice.

I don't believe anything that's listed on the internet as free will actually be so unless it's through a private seller that just wants to get rid of stuff. There's usually always some type of catch, whether it be to join some type of massive spam list, pay shipping costs, or subscribe to some sort of monthly membership.

Hey Black on Gold, just keep cool about your car. As the saying goes, "Anything worth having is worth waiting for." Don't let your friend change your perspective on things too much. He works 7 days a week, but when does he have time to do anything fun? It's a respectable trade off and you just have to examine things from all aspects before passing judgement; the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence

Speaking of $$$, is anyone looking to make a couple of xtra bucks this weekend? I'm doing a little side work for a company called Air Fun Rentals. ( http://www.airfunrentals.com ) It's not really hard work, but you do stand up a lot and you'll be dealing mostly with kids. The pay isn't too bad and you get tax free cash which is a plus. If anyone happens to be interested just shoot me an email: [email protected]

The stock VQ35 in the Z can take around 400 to the wheels before you start risking bent/broken rods. Even still under 400 some people have put rods through the side of their block. The problem is that even though the rods are forged they are still rather weak. Fine for stock but not the greatest for boost. The only piston problems as far as scoring or melting the piston seems to be from a bad tune or no tune in some cases. The VQ in your car I think would take better to boost than mine simply because of the compression ratio. However I believe the rods probably suffer from the same weakness.

The other issue is the compression ratio. Alot of the guys that are building their blocks are dropping the compression ratio to 9.5 or lower on the big horsepower cars.

I guess the short of it is yes I can turbo my car fairly safely but I'll never make big numbers on the stock block. 400ish horsepower though is plenty for me as a daily driver so I think that is probably the route I'm going to take.

That sounds like a good plan based on your goals. Just get a decent single turbo kit and some fuel system upgrades and you should be fine. You'll have a 350z putting out 350 rwhp

Kinda reminds me of the story of a guy that bought a nice brand new BMW M3 but had to deliver Pizzas on the weekend just to pay for it. You don't deliver Pizzas in a M3 its just not right.

Well sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. IF I could even get a whiff of owning an E46 M3, I would be out busting my butt everyday to keep it too. As I've always said, Gr8ness requires sacrifice!

Well everyone, I was finally able to snap a few pics of my pig, not too bad for a camera phone. Here she is, I was compelled to do black&white so you all couldn't see just how dirty the car really is. It needs some TLC on the exterior, but you can't really tell from the pics...lol

nice piggy!! well, hopefully i will have my car back this weekend! as soon as i do, i'm gonna clean her up a little(alot!!), and maybe snap some pics! i can't imagine them looking too great considering that the back bumpers dented to hell, front and rear bumper is primered, aswell as the hood and right fender!! i'm thinking about getting some touchup aerosol paint and spraying away (just to get me by!) unless anyone has an air compressor, spray gun, and open back yard or garage i could use one weekend! anyone? hello? lol. i'm just getting frustrated because my car was supposed to be done last weekend and i'm driving my wifes car, and she's driving her mom's car. what a situation, eh?!

i have also had like 6 offers on my car recently, 2 trade offers. one for a 1994 mx6(hellno!) and a 1988 RX7 gtu with headers, exhaust, rebuilt motor with 15k, and new interior. he just can't get the car to idle without it shutting off. ya know, this is probably the longest post i have done yet! i just normally chat my problems out, but sometimes you just can't keep them in, ya know. sorry ya'll. out!

Don't feel bad man, I've got a HUGE dent behind the drivers door, so I snapped a pic of the "good" side. It's all about perspective I'm sure you'll find a good angle for the car so that you can get a worthwhile picture that not too incriminating.lol

Hey guys, if you see me, HONK!Thats with 16" Rota GT3's (weak sauce offsets, but cheap and LIGHT)Now sitting on Z33's since I went 5-lug and Z32 brakes. Will be switching to 17x9 +27 (7mm spacers up front) MB Motorsports Competition wheels in a few days.

That is a sweet ride, I love the z33 wheels on there. I hope whatever you get next has that same offset.

I've been getting the urge lately to start a second 240 project, especially since there's a chance of me getting brandon's coupe which sits next to my house. I definitely got to have an s13 silvia front end, whether I get the coupe or a hatch.

I emailed a guy about a parts car, which is an s13 hatch, but I think $1000 is an aweful lot for a totaled hatch with no interior and no exhaust, what do you guys think? Seems like I could get a running driving car for that if I looked hard enough...

hey what would you want for those Rota gt3s? And where did you get the silvia front end pieces and what did you pay for them?

Yea, $1000 is too much for that kinda condition. I bought mine for a reasonable $700 with blown motor and some dents here and there, but nice interior. I would say that you should be able to find a good condition car for about $1000-$1500 (thanks to Tokyo Drift) non-running (good exterior and interior) and anywhere from $1500-$3000 for a good running condition stock s13. I am not a fan of the Sileighty (hatchback with Silvia front end) but i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Edit: Sold the Rota's for $680 with tires, and the MB's will have better offsets than the Z33's. The Z33 are just about flush but the MB's will be perfectly flush. I bought the silvia front end a long time ago (maybe 3 years?) for $900 shipped to SC from SoCal from a shop called LS Automotive, who builds all of Falkens S-chassis drift cars. I was able to personally look at the front end before purchasing because I was out there visiting my dad)

The guy wants $1000, , I bought mine for $1300 and it came with a practically mint interior minus the usual driver seat wear, and then it has the aforementioned exterior damage. It does however run great and it only needs a few minor mechanical tweaks. Like Brandon said, just keep you money and look around a bit; I was shopping for 6 months before I bought mine and sometimes I still feel like I was a little impetuous. I would probably give him half the asking price, MAX. Even though it will be a project for you, you're gonna have to sink at least $1500 in it just to get it road worthy.

Hey Td5, your silvia looks pretty nice regardless of which wheels you have on it. Are you running ka-t or sr, how much boost?? Nice TT btw.

You know what guys, I was looking at the pic in my sig and I was thinking that if you stare at it long enough it can give the illusion that the car is in motion....or maybe it's 12:10 and I need to go to bed. haha

Holy crap, I didn't think that he would want that much for it, the only thing useable on that car is the drivetrain, exhaust, and wheels.(and the wheels got pretty scuffed up from the crash)

Super ninja edit: James I'm going to be pulling the engine and transmission out of my hatch pretty soon, if your intrested it yours.

I like those, in fact, they are pretty close to the 18's I'm buying from brandon

Is it a 5 speed? I already drove to Columbia to buy my Pathfinder 2 weeks ago, so that's not that bad, 3 hours or so.

yeah well, the exhaust is not included. It may be worth half that, but I'd still have to buy an exhaust. So how much do you want for your engine and transmission? It would be great if I could get all the parts that go under the hood from somebody, does Gweedo still have his wreckage? I know it has no motor, but maybe with your motor and all the miscellaneous crap from his I can make this shell I may get from Brandon into an actual car. I don't care much about interior, just need all the wiring in the dash, and under the hood, plus a dash.
