It's ok, Brandon may show some of us up, but all we have to do is whip out our free and clear car titles and he will tuck his tail between his legs and run!

guess thats true and all, but for my money; nothing beats the sound of a VQ(other than RB of course). i do feel like it does lack in the tq(i have driven many 350's), but they are fun to drive, not to mention you could just bolt-on 400hp!!

I love the VQ, from my old 95 vq30de 5 speed maxima to the Infiniti I-35 I have now and Brandon's Z they are just the best v6s ever! So what bolt-ons are you speaking of? I'm curious as to what I could add onto my Infiniti... Not interested in turbo or supercharging yet, but what else is there?

Well, having a 93 hatch I can't drive because I have it taken apart getting it read for a swap, and a kouki that I can't drive legaly just wasn't enough for me, so today I buy a 93 coupe that I can't drive because it has a blown head gasket.

But the good news is that I only paid $500 for it, it should only cost me about $100 to change the head gasket and get it running, I have all the tools I to fix it, and I have everything I need to swap it to a 5 speed.

I forgot all about that James I'll send you the address right now.

So that just goes to show you, what do you get the person who has 2 240s for christmas? A third 240.... Now all you need is a zenki S14.

Don't we all need one. I'm sure all of the sr powered folks in here could use a fmic upgrade. I need it to put towards the rb.

That APS kit looks sooooooo sweeeeet!! There's another company out there that has a kit similar to that in which the turbo is mounted after the cat, but it's mostly for domestics. Either way, imo it would be more ideal to mount the turbo outside of the engine bay so long as you have a skid plate to protect it from road debris and stuff. I suppose you could use your "big"(fingers crossed) refund to pick one up.

Congrats on the new acquisition Beatupsx, like James said
maxima278 wrote:.... Now all you need is a zenki S14.
and you'll be able to complete your collection. Then again, you could sell all of your s13's to get a decent s14....or at least enough $$$ to negotiate with. What else is holding you up from getting your kouki legal? Are you still having issues getting the title taken care of?
Black on Gold wrote:Im ready to get the ball rolling on my 240. I need to find a job again.

I agree that those vq's do sound great, especially when equipped w/ an open element filter, really throaty and all. In the end however, straight 6 action is what I'm all about (read RB )!

Chris, wuz up with those cats from Chucktown, do you think they'll come up for the meet? It also seems that we're slowly getting the word out about Southern Chaos, perhaps we do need to start working on some structure. Pat brought up the point about rules and qualifications...are we going to have specific criteria for new members?

For some reason the dmv just tells me I can not title the car and when I ask why they say, "we just can not do it".

I think i'm just going to load the car on a trailer, drag it down to columbia, walk into the dmv, drag some one out side, show them the car, and demand to know why they refuse to title the damn thing. (At least in theory It sounds like a good idea)

No more cars for me, now its time to start fixing them so I can turn them into cash.

Yea the APS Turbo kit placement did raise my eyebrows but I still think its a good system. I like the turbonetics single turbo but don't like the turbo placement.

IM about to DO my oil change that i've been saying i was going to do for the past week. Hey, Jordan. Seeing how you said that a 5speed swap is easy and all maybe one weekend if your free and when i get the parts together we can do it. I dont want to get half way done and then something go wrong and not have a car to drive to work.

Brandon, that doesn't look like a bad setup at all. Just wish they made that for the Maxima/I35. Can the vq withstand any boost without modifications?

so which car do you want to keep? Why don't you call someone in Georgia's DMV and see if there's a way I can help you without having to hand it over to someone with a license to rebuild like we tried to do. The abandoned car idea might work (like Gweedo said). Or maybe they can tell you what state has more leeway. Maybe they can title it as a kit car.

Man, my car's shocks are GONE! I cant even get under the damn car with a jack = / Guess i'll do the oil change at school when i get the car registered. Im setting aside this weekend to move the red one down to the corner lot hopefully and then changing the hatch interior into the black one. That way it looks a bit nicer. It really needs some cleaning...and body work...and engine work...and suspension work.Trying not to think about it so much. I'll just do little by little.

little by little is the best way to go about it. i'm still not done with the mech. part of my car, and i've had her for 2 years! almost don't, but not, ya know. and then i have to work on body work, then interior, and then worry about tuning it, ya know. it's a pain saking process, but in time, it will happen!!

Advice* place a 2x4 infront of the tires and drive the car on the 2x4's. You will be able to get a jack under it then!!!
