Yeah, except that mine is a child sleepwalking and yours is some crazy guy dancing. Mine is also the symbol thing for the band Sigur Ros. I think i'm going to cut it out to use as a stencil. yep.

Also, my car is making a funny kind of noise. Like air escaping coming from the turbo/exhaust manifold area. I'm not sure if i'm losing power but it kinda seems like it. maybe. Also it seems to be affected by temperature. During the hot part of the day it doesn't make the noise. At night however, it does. The odd thing about that is that it continues to make the noise after the engine has warmed up at night. So idk. Anybody know of the best way to locate a leak?

Only thing I can say from experience so far is to check all your hoses, particularly your hot pipe if you have a stock one, just make sure all those clamps on it are tightened, if that is not sealed up your car won't run right. I actually blew mine clean off during an early test run! Shoulda tightened it better...

Mine's running pretty good, I actually trusted it to drive around further away from my house . Just seems like it should have more power. I got nothing to base it on though.

You might also want to check around the flanges on your exhaust manifold. The only way I know how to check for leaks is to get some soapy water in a spray bottle and spray it on all your hoses and then look for bubbles.

sorry guys, Have been pretty busy lately. I have decided to part out the 93. Im either going to be buying a CA and doing the 5speed swap or im going to be doing a 5speed swap, suspension and maybe some body work. Im really intrested in a CA its a good budget for a high school student. Im going to try and talk to Ed about his CA'd Hatch. What you guys think about a CA?

Um, no real problems with my Defi's? Other than the fact the my boost gauge is missing. lol.

One of you guys needs to buy my s14 so I can finish my rb20 s13!!

I'm ready to get it on the street and hear the engine under load. Sad, I have yet to hear that beautiful HKS blow-off valve since the install.

I need a turbo!!!

one other good reason about the ca, if you need to, you can get oem parts from your local parts store. if your looking for around 300hp then your fine but if your wanting to get alot more then its not going to cut it. i have the rb with with a few mods and its slow again, so i am thinking of going to a 2.4 with the rb26 internals and mr2 pistons. all after market and i think i will be going as far as meth inj and intercooler sprayer, but you never know i cant make up my mind. i have a freind that imports cars so i might even switch over to a gtr and build it since i got alot better job i just got to see how it works out. just keep us updated on the progress and if you ever need any help let me know, i dont know much about the ca but a friend had on and i have done alot to my rb but anyways take it easy.

later, kyle

I was wondering the same thing. I guess with school starting back up, a lot of folks are tied up one way or another??

My car is broken again guys. I put the new starter on, but that didn't resolve the issue. I get the "ding" sound when I put the key in the ignition, the dash lights all come on, but when I go to crank it over everything goes dead. I thought the battery was low so I hooked it up to a van for a boost, but still nothing.I double checked to make sure everything was hooked up correctly on the starter and all that....idk Anyone have any ideas? Everything was working fine for a while and now I've got this problem...I really don't wanna get the "I told ya so" lecture from my wife because she feels that I was impulsive by buying this car.

If you could push it off and get it started that way it would be a step in the right direction. But I haven't been keeping up with the boards as much as I'd like to lately. I've been really really busy and right now is some great tennis playing weather.

NICE new sig!

Thanks for the input guys, I'll fool around and see where I get. I'll have to get my multimeter from school today and try to find out where I'm loosing current. I just hope to have it finished by Wednesday, otherwise I run the risk of missing another day of school

clubsx, did you ever get your black one running good?

Brandon, we need to find you a totaled 5 speed, then we can make your car decent again pretty easily and go from there, just like I did with mine.

speaking of my car, i actually drove it all the way to discover mills mall which is like 30 miles from my house, and nothing blew up! I did sort of get roasted by a red hatch, but that's ok, I wasn't trying hard, I just wanted to make it home with nothing breaking. I should be picking up my next daily driver pretty soon, a black 94 pathfinder.

gr8bryt- clean your battery terminals or replace them if you haven't done so already.

Yeah thanks James I'm gonna replace my battery terminals on Thursday and use my post cleaner to freshen up the contacts on the posts. I wonder if there's a DIY write up on this?

nothing else to say...

IT'S ALIIIIVVVEEEE Silvia lives again!! I replaced those terminals and slapped on some anti-corrosion paste and it was a wrap. Got in and cranked her up. The idle is rough and there's a lot of miles on the motor. I guess my next task will be to take care of the timing. Thanks everyone for all the input.

yeah, I used to have to jump mine off about every day. One thing we as 240 owners have to do is look for the small stuff, because that's usually what keeps us up all hours trying to figure out what the hell is going on!

ok if you have a rough idle, look for leaks in the air intake, check for a bad maf ( I don't know how you would do that) and change your fuel filter, air filter and spark plugs and wires (they probably need it anyway). If none of those things help, go to the KA forums or the online mechanic and put a post out there about it. I think your car can run great with a few tweaks.

Thanks again for everything y'all; I'm so glad that it's up and running. James I'll probably be looking to take care of those things over the course of the next few weekends since that's really the only time I have to work on my car. But who knows, since it's running now I may be able to alot more time on days when I'm not @ school. I'll get a break on the air filter because the car came with a short ram intake and k&n filter. I'll just have to clean and re-oil it I'm slowly finding that I need small things like the bracket that goes in the space for the radio, I've got a double DIN hole in the middle of my console. I already have the cd player that I'm gonna put in from my previous car but there's nothing to set the radio on top of.
