Navi question

I was wondering if its possible to install a 08 sedan navi into a 09 coupe .. im tihnking of purchasing it, i want ot make sure it works

See if you can compare part numbers. They appear to be the same but I wouldn't say for sure.

OP, not sure why you would want to do this, but the answer is yes and NO!

yes, it will fit perfectly, but..uhh, you won't be able to use many of the functions... wiring is completely different between a base vehicle and a vehicle with navi... all cars with navi come with BOSE, thus the bose wiring is spidered into the different harnesses, as are the Xm radio, bluetooth, etc. not to mention the navi doesn't play cd's, that's why they have the cd player beneath it...

basicly, unless you had a navi system in you car, and it got broken, and you just want to swap out another one from the sedan into your car, then there is no reason to do this...

you will be missing many function, your sound combing out of your speakers for your radio will sound like crap because they won't be amplified, and you won't be able to play anything else in your car...

there is absolutely no way this can be done for caheap at all.... it would take a LOT of money an time to rewire you entire system to be functional with the NAVI with BOSE!

THANK YOU! ... ive been trying to ask everywhere .. also called the dealer .. and they were like ummm ... "we dont know" ...

anywho .. thanks for answering the question .. i might just get an aftermarket navi installed ...

i dont want to open a new thread .. so ill just ask here ...

if i want to go with an aftermarket navi ... whats good out there ... i dont want to spend more then $600 ....

the main thing i want in the navi is bluetooth..

btw i have 09 a/c with convience package ^ if knowing that makes a diff...

I would say get the kenwood DNX-6140 ...
