Its actually they arent trying to recruit people. ive seen them in person. he makes the car and donates them to certain people/units. hes also done land rovers and dontated it to a guy that got an arm blown off. he does it cause he like to work on cars. and after his 2nd deployment to Iraq he wanted to do it.

i was referring to when fox 5 said that itis used to recruit and has successfully gotten younger people interested in the national guard. I just think fox 5 really needed a news story and this is the best they could find.

dont get me wrong it is a touching story but the way the did it was so unproffesional. They barely had any coverage of the event and his interview went terrible. I love when the referenced the new possible show as a cross between home makeover and pimp my ride lol. its the same thing as pimp my ride except with war heros and such.

I think the reporter used that comparison due to the emotional aspect of HM and the car modding aspect of PMR.

Regardless if the story sucked or not...its still sweet to see a modded a/c on tv!

i seen this at HIN AZ last october, i actually got to get in & start it up (perks of Prior Service i guess)...it was nothing special-i thought it was, ok. they could have thought about the paint a'bit more. imo.
