I own a 96 NA and am about to buy a 96 tt. the NA has stock exhaust and the tt has Billy Boat exhaust. I am a purest and would like to replace the BB with a stock system. Would the exhaust on my NA be swap-able with my tt and if not does anyone know where I can find stock exhaust systems?

If they are both 2 seater and the BB is no more than 2.5", then the cat back systems are interchangeable.(muffler section and "H" pipes)

It WILL be louder than you like if you are a purist as you suggest. Drone will be the killer, unless you enjoy pounding headaches and it may also exhibit what we call "raspy" sound due to lack of back pressure and excessive internal volume.
Be careful about where you get your OEM replacement, DO NOT get what an typical exhaust shop or even Nissan will want to sell/install. They fit like crap hanging WAY down and are made of cheap/crappy material.
I found the best way to go is using a well-rounded shop that also handles competition cars, buy quality aftermarket components not built to be too far from OEM standards (Magnaflow is my favorite) and have a OEM style aluminized piping system built and installed. I was able to do this with my NA many years ago and after a few reworks as negotiated due to my particular needs (this idea I'm sharing with you), I netted a stock-sounding NA with a tad more torque down low, and NO DRONE or rasp.
I still have OEM AIV's (key to emissions pass as they pump air into the exhaust to fake the car is actually efficient, which it isn't) but used hi-flow cats with stock resonators on 2- 1/2" aluminized piping, no H-pipe, and OEM sized tip exits for the slightly larger than OEM Magnaflow mufflers. The result was the tips quieted everything just enough and seemed to provide the missing back pressure that cause the drone, and loss of torque/ricer sound in an NA...and all for $1000 as agreed upon. Previous attempts with no cats and resonators, and cats with no resonators both made the car loud, obnoxious-sounding, and down on power unless WOT.
Find a known good quality shop that also does competition exhausts, and they should understand how to go about this and get you what you need!
