What liquid in the V is yellow'ish when on the snow? I think the car has a leak. Other then a seepping slave-cylinder or transmission... It seem to be comming from the middle of the car. Can't see any leaks from looking inside the engine bay.

Don't eat the yellow snow!

My first thought is it COULD BE coolant. What sort of volume of fluid are you seeing?

Yellow could be gear oil or fluid from failed shock. Radiator fluid could look yellow if the snow dilutted it enough.

Pretty sure the ATF fluid is red, don't know what color the CVT fluid is.

Crawl under the V with a flash light & look to see if it is still dripping.

Could be gear oil. Maybe slave-cylinder sweating? the fluid looks yellow. Gear oil and motor oil arent yellow

The gear oil & diff fluid in my Xterra was yellow when I wiped it up with a paper towel.

If you lost that much brake fluid, you would be able to tell.

Power steering maybe? Also Yellow on the Xterra.

I thought it was electric-assisted PS.

It is electric. But I don't know if it is an electricaly driven pump vs belt driven or ???

Yes.

Subaru's electric steering pump back in the 80's used a special yellow fluid, so it's possible that our pump uses a yellow fluid.

CLEAN motor oil is yellow.

Cooldex (100k coolant) is orange, which could theoretically dilute to yellow.

Seems there is no fluid, therefore all electric.

I actually spent a long time searching for a PS reservoir when I bought mine.

UPDATE: Got back from the dealer. They said it was a loose radiator hose clip and lots of condensation in the exhaust. Condensation spewing out off the muffler. All the crap that got wash-out of the exhaust pipping.
