Is the heater core hose like that due to the excessive intake mani?

Looks great, really clean. Get it finished so you can enjoy it!

Car STARTS!!!!!!!!!!!! but then it dies................ funny part is it runs longer with the fuel pump fuse pulled??

Not sure what the problem is just yet seems to be flooding out, it wont fire up but when the fuel pump fuse is pulled(after trying to crank with it in) it starts up and runs ruffly(smooth at times) till it runs out of gas about 45-55sec.

Also body guy is coming tomorrow to line up the front end so i can get it all bolted down.

Leaking fuel rail or injector id say with almost certainty.

pull your dipstick, and smell it... if it smells like gas then its most likely a torn fuel injector o-ring. trust me, been there done that. oh yeah, drain your oil once its fixed and put some fresh oil in there. project looks good though man.

I'm really just running into walls here fuel psi is at 55psi at start up and the car just wont run with the pump in with fuel pump fuse pulled out still runs about if not little over a min. O rings are in great shape not torn or mangled in anyway. oil smells of gas no the fuel lines arnt backwards

ECU tune maybe????????

Your fuel pressure is high for starters. You want it at 42 without vacuum, with the motor off. It will drop to about 37 at 20hg vacuum.

so your oil does reek of gas??? how did you install your injectors?? did the just pop right into the rail? if not, then you have a great possibility of a torn o ring. a quick way to check your orings is to pull the rail from the intake mani with the injectors still in place. turn your key to the on position, and watch for any dripping fuel. if its bone dry, then you have a much bigger problem, or atleast harder to fix problem. but try the fuel rail leak test. takes 5 mins and will tell the truth.

I had two wires backwards at the MAF (both where white) so that was the only problem. Still waiting on the alarm.... few other little things to wrap up.

Yea i wasn't to happy with the tape lines from the rust repair but oh well body work is next after this build is wrapped up.
