I talked to the guys at Swain Tech who iv done a lot of business with and the guy leveled with me. Basically told me that header wrap performed as good in pretty much every situation and better in some than the coating. I was originally wanting to get it coated and wrapped, that was my Q to Swain tech, my friend had expressed a concern that it wasnt a good idea so i checked up on it. They told me that it could potentially keep in so much heat that the metal would expand at a greater rate than the coating was able to, cracking the coating. Turbine housing coating is a good move though.
I was thinking about having my exhaust coated as well. IMO, with a stainless steel turbo manifold your better off wrapping it and spraying the wrap with DEI silicone spray to keep it sealed. Muchh cheaper, keeps temps to where you can touch the wrap and not get burned, and no waiting. No chance of it flaking off either. The black(or white) spray paint looks great when your done with it, and withstands the heat.
Project looks good though man, GL with it. You should be set with an Enthalpy tune, Scott is a lot better recently in the customer service department. His tunes are always good.
