I was going to keep it since the hardline was all in one piece and wouldn't need to be bled. Now since I have to remove it to route the hardline, I'll just bypass the dampner. Just have to wait to get a hold of a flare wrench to break them loose.

Ice/Snow for this weekend will probably stop a friend from bring tools/helping. Probably won't get done, crap.

I'll try to get pics tonight or tomorrow of the pedals progress.

MDM-100 should be here today, maybe see how I'm going to route it over to the pocket below the radio or where else to put it.

IIRC isn't there a shift lock connect at the ignition you can disconnect to stop it from locking?

Damnit. Pilot Bushing puller from AutoZone is too big to even fit inside the bushing. Have to go get the one from Advance. Of course who knows when I'll be able to leave the house, only thing that's driven in front of my house is 4-wheeler.

So much productivity this weekend. Did clean up the garage a little and swapped out the old boot with the new ebay one, good fitment, definitely worth the $11 or so it seems.

If you can get a hold of a Matco dealer get the pilot bearing remover. Part#: CP55600

It saved me a lot of hassle in the swap trying to remove mine. I can make sure it will make a seal with the auto one if you want me to.

Boot looks a lot better than the old one, still need invest in a new one too.

I'm pulling a 5spd pilot bushing, its too tight, so swapping with another one.

Go to autozone, rent a pilot bearing puller and a slide hammer and then return when done, it'll take you 5 minutes, vs a day with other methods.

Read a couple posts up, did that , the one from autozone is too big, have to get another one. But stuck due to snow/ice right now.

are you sure you got the right one? http://www.autozone.com/autozo...hmentthats the one I'm talking about, you cant just have the slide hammer, but you need to rent both tools seperate.

Yep that's the one I have. The two prongs are too wide to fit in the bushing. The advanced auto one should work, it is narrower.

..s***, worked for meIf all else fails, and you cant get 1 in there, I've used a pipe wrench and twisted it. I know its a b****, but it works.

why don't you just break it and pull it out in pieces?

Theres that green box thing under the dash. It was bolted to the hole that the top of your clutch pedal assembly is now bolted to. I left it plugged in and the key unlocks just like before.

Picked up the pilot bushing puller from Advance Auto again, looks like it should fit. Probably will try this weekend, as it looks like I'll be snowed in again.

Small update. The Advance Auto puller worked fine. Got the bushing out, then got lazy. Gonna wait til next weekend for some tools/help, hopefully will wrap it up then.

Hey look a little progress. Of course something still had to go wrong, so a little trouble with the tranny mount/bolt, but got it in.

Just wiring and putting interior together left to do.

Yeah, I'm slow. Guess I also need to put the exhaust back on. I'll try to do that and put the shifter/center console in this weekend.

Currently its unbolted at the exhaust mani, really would need to, it would drive me crazy.

Think I may go with the Isis shifter from Enjuku, try it out.

Ordered a lower boot to go over the shifter to contain fluids from the top and OEM plastic bushing to put on it. Will probably pack it with a little grease as well.

Today:-put the full exhaust back on-filled the tranny with fluid -fixed my seats, couple holes needed to be tapped and one custom bracket had come looseIsis shifter came in, just got to wait on lower boot and OEM shifter bushing.

I'll get pics of the install, probably next weekend. Seems good for the price so far, I just couldn't see all the $ for the b&m on a car that isn't driven much. And didn't trust the ebay ones (with holes not lining up, etc).

In car, RTV'd around edge and did have to lower the tranny crossmember a bit to get to the front two bolts:

Steering column bolted back up, wires situated under the dash. Started wiring, confused a little while on what to do with the 2 harnesses, but belive its figured out, just have to do a couple more wires and put interior pieces back in.

Never noticed that the lower steering column cover is different than hatch/coupe, has a heavy piece under it (I assume to lesson vibration?), anyone removed it with results?

Just ordered this from walmart (with my $20 giftcard from buying Battlefield: BC2). Going to use it to mount the MDM-100 on the winshield and bring it down somewhere near the cluster or something without drilling any holes.

And hopefully wiring/interior will wrap up this weekend and it will run again. Then has to go under the knife for driver's taillight replacement and the rust/hole under batter tray issue. I'll update the title of the thread when that starts.

Got a few things done today.

Swapped Driver's taillight (it was cracked), that black stuff sucks.

Put shifter surround and lower driver's panel back on, will put steering column pieces on after the key interlock is tested that it doesn't lock the key in.

Started getting to the Rust/Hole under battery tray. Pulled the passenger fender, that was a huge pain in the a**.
