Thanks to some help from a friend. Got the EGR off and header on. Rerouted one vaccum tube, so hope that works. Just need to get intake mounted and undertray back on (probably this week/weekend).

Good job on the header install and other work! I just got done taking my EGR off of my hatch, and it fixed my hesitation problem. Have you had a chance to run the car with the new header?

Nope, been lazy and have to put the undertray back on and put my old injen intake pipe on. Got a used K&N cone to go on the intake, so washed it last night, will need to oil it. Probably Saturday I'll see about a test drive.

But my old coupe had a pacesetter, 2.5" catco, and HKS catback, so I kind of know what to expect. Just figure the Vert is going to be insanely loud now.

Put back together last night, went to bed pissed it wasn't running right. Then while in bed realized I didn't hook up the MAF. Running well today, just still a small exhaust leak at where the header meets collector, going to have to go with a full threaded stud to tighten it enough (or call Pacesetter about getting just their hardware).

Doesn't seem much louder, surprisingly.

Nice, I'm thinking about ditch my full CAI and relocating my battery so I can make the intake as short as possible on the opposite side. I'm tired of having to worry about hydro-locking my beast.

Only really have to worry about hydrolocking if you are driving through standing water that's up to the filter. I wouldn't mind getting the Injen CAI extension, but seems they are way overpriced these days.

Still may have a small exhaust leak even after different bolts and tightening everything up again. When done today it started raining so didn't go out on a test drive (probably tomorrow).

Worked on the hood. Started sanding with 2000 grit, but wasn't working as well as I'd hoped. Instead went and picked up a turtle wax 10" polisher/buffer (since harbor freight was out of them). Picked up Meguiar's Compound and Wax. Worked better than I expected, and I'll be doing my CF hood on my coupe sometime soon.

A search for new catback has begun. N1 dual knockoff is now too low after the header install and it restricts sway bar choices.

Did figure out the exhaust leak. 2.5" header extension and 3" cat don't like each other, had to use a 2.5" and 3" gasket (only had 3" previously). Believe it is mostly gone now.

New exhaust on the way, found a used Megan Type 2 on ebay.

The resonator, center of the car. The N1 dual is for sale if you know anyone looking.

Noticed this last time I had the cat on upside down, so that was tilting the N1 dual, making it lower than normal.

Put the Megan Type 2 on:

Have a couple things to do tomorrow:

- Have an extra tranny mount that I filled with poly (liquid nails) swapping that out
- Still small exhaust leak where 2.5" header extention meets 3" Cat. Found 2.5" flange that should cover it and use as a spacer between, also adding another 3" flange behind Cat (since it seems the exhaust is being pulled back an 1" or so).

May remove fan shroud and clutch fan. Haven't decided if I trust it to stay cool after that. Since I won't be installing the Altima fans for a little while.

Sounds very good and deep at idle and low RPMs. But at high RPMs it does get raspy, say over 3,500 or so.

I was slow on those pics^

Small update:

Went to install my old SS Braided lines and bleed the brakes Sunday. Everything went fine until I started to bleed the fronts. Both front bleeder valves are stuck. Letting them soak in PB Blaster this week and ordered 2 new ones from the Dealership (they'll be here Thursday).

Hope to replace them and bleed the fronts this weekend.

Will try to take a few pics as well.

Finally got the bleeders out of the front calipers. Had to take them off and put it on a bench vice to remove them. New ones were $20 at the dealership

Been driving the Vert this week with the G bumper getting painted.

Noticed the clutch fluid is leaking somewhere. Not much and its nothing noticable on the garage, so must be happening while driving. Probably need to check slave connection.

Also hope to start on a couple things with the car soon:
- power side mirror install
- remove back seat and spray rust converter/paint to protect it (noticed light rust when we did the speaker install a few years ago)

Broke a J hook and may be impossible to find a replacement.

And my clutch master may be leaking at the plunger inside the car.

Have been wondering why the Vert was so sluggish. Had no power over 2500 rpm. Then maf was mention by a friend. Swapped maf and reset the ECU yesterday. Car is actually fun to drive again. Now if it would just cool off outside.

Hey Biggie, any tips to getting that EGR tube off? I'm gonna get a local shop to fit a new header on, but I believe my current EGR tube may be frozen to the current header. Was considering buying a new one and telling the shop to chop and reinstall.
