So I'm finally picking my car up tonight with a newly installed SFR turbo kit (with my own spin on a few things ) Some of you may have picked up my hints in one of the Carlisle threads or saw that I blatantly told Phenom and LBC...

My Spin:HKS EVC VI Boost Controller Flush Mounted in the Center Storage AreaAEM UEGO Wideband AFR / AEM Trans Temp Gauge in the Center VentsECU Flash By UpRevViper 5701 Turbo Timer

I only have a teaser pic of my car (well parts of it ) at the shop for now. I purchased a ram mount for my digital cam so I'll be taking some photos and in-cabin vids throughout the week!

HUGE Props go out to Dave @ Function: Tuned for the install. I would recommend anyone in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) to head over there for anything needed on your Nissan/Infiniti!!

We should get a Va coupe meet together. I live in Warrenton now, and work in Chantilly. I definitely want to check this out. Hit me up dude

A little but not really. Ive been really debating the "value add" and do I really need it. (of course I do silly ) However, this past weekend at HIN LBC introduced me to a guy that is awesome at tuning. This person had at least 10 customer cars there representing his shop. I also spoke to a few of them and they had nothing but praise for this guy and his work. What a testimonial! I'll be contacting him after my Vegas trip next week for sure!

No Kiddin? I lived in Fair Lakes for most of 2008. Did it happen to be a black coupe with Stillen body kit?? lol

Didn't bother since the boost is relatively low at 6psi. I would fully expect to have issues with the CVT far before the VQ. Now if SFR comes up with something for the CVT transmission they have... I may reconsider Ricky - Any updates on that

SFR Turbo Kit + transmission Cooler was about 6K. I'd tell you to check out the SFR website but it honestly looks like they are running on a backup site at the moment... Labor for just the turbo install for me was around 1500. This may vary obviously from installer to installer.

I'm going up to SFR tomorrow (Thursday) to have my car checked by Tim to see if it's safe to move the PSI up to 8 or 9. I'll ask him and get back to you guys on it.

Sweet! Let us know!

Here are some more pics - most of you should already be familiar with the engine bay from Ricky's and Blake's car!

No I saw a dark slate coupe, no body kit (just like mine but a 2.5). I worked at CGI Federal and IBM both in Fair Lakes and lived real close by, don't remember seeing any black coupes.

Regarding the install, how long were you without your car? If I were to do a turbo install in the future I think it would be useful to take it to a shop who has already done it, since they can apply the lessons learned on your car to others.

LOL I lived across the street from IBM in the Avalon apartment complex!

It was close to two weeks for me but some of that was waiting on parts from SFR and some of it was all the other add-ons I had them install as well. After working on mine I'm pretty sure Dave could hammer out the install in less than a week.

I wouldn't hate it too much. I'm pretty sure Stillen is still working on some goodies for the 2.5 still.

You really need to learn to spell dude.

Grats on the turbo, keep us posted on what psi you are running and how the CVT transmission is holding up. If it weren't for blakes transmission blowing up, Dangeris and I would have turbo too. It's ok, I'll wait until a few more guinea pigs clear out all the bugs.

Anyway grats!
