Got some more done today. Heads torqued, lower intake, mounts, oil filter tree, dipstick tube and exhaust manifolds. Below is a pic! The valve covers are just sitting there. Going to do lifters and cams tomorrow. Then I still have the PCV relocate before permanently installing the valve covers. Taking Shape!

What are you going to use to block off the hole in the exhaust valve covers where the metal hose-fitting used to be? The guy I bought my motor from was in the middle of a PCV re-route so mine are removed too - would like to know what size the freeze plugs are that you use if you go that route.

Well even a Hurricane couldn't stop me from working on my car (Sandy) on my day off! Although I did run inside the house a couple times when it was raining sideways and I was scared the neighbors cat was going to get picked up by the wind and hurled at my face

Got the lifters, cams, valve covers, injectors and fuel rail, and the beginnings of the timing gears installed! Hoping tomorrow I'll get the timings stuff done and possibly the turbos installed! Can't wait to see the plenum on it after I put it in the car!

Also got the intake valve covers drilled and the fitting installed for the PCV reroute (you can see the brass ones in both pics below). Don't worry, those pcv elbows sitting in the exhaust valve cover were just to keep any sideways rain from getting in while I was working. A garage would be REAL nice right now, but beggars can't be choosers :)

Peeps... we getting close to the real deal! WOOOO

This morning got the timing belt done and water pump installed as well as the lower cover. Had to stop there to fix/paint the upper covers. Hoping to be ready by around Tuesday to set it in the car!

Looks good Ziggy! I just got my engine back in too this week after my rebuild (NA). Getting all the wiring back in was a PITA.

As for the weather, thank God for garages. I was in my garage all day monday and tuesday while the hurricane raged outside haha

Thanks! Nice dude! I was under my carport when it hit me last week. Ran inside a couple times for fear of stuff flying LOL! I'm putting the tranny, driveshaft and exhaust on today. Unfortunately I won't be able to wire it back up until I get back next month :( Just didn't feel like rushing it

Ok, back in town and got a few things done, but not much time as I'm catching up on work while I was out.

Transmission, Driveshaft and exhaust in (still have to tighten up the exhaust tomorrow)

Of course will look better once on the ground

Stoptech 12.75" rotors. Have CZP brackets for them and calipers going off to powder coat.

No pics this time cause its dark, but been working a little the past few days. All that's really left is a little wiring, passengers side boost hoses, vacuum hoses, and radiator. Then fill her up with fluids!!!

A bit of a bummer. I installed something incorrectly when I put the transmission in, so it's going to come back out probably this weekend. But hopefully try to turn it over next week! :ohno:

Dude that's a great idea! Hope that site is a hit - I'm sure many could benefit from it.
