No, for now I will be going white. Then after all alterations are complete, it will be a dark brown metallic with gold pearl and a black roof :)

Anxious to get there. New Chras come in next week. Then it will be spoiler, window moldings, Kaminari skirts and door fillers, Twinz rear diffuser, new tails... Did I forget anything? Then bodywork and paint.

Guess I asked for it when I said I wanted a project! ;)

Ok, I know it's been a bit since I updated. Well two new CHRAs and a new oil jet check valve in the block and I'm back! She's purring and quiet. Almost too quiet with the Genie :woot:

http://youtu.be/3q_iXA8vf7o

Next I will be cleaning it all up after all of the greasy fingerprints. Tidying up the wiring, painting the throttle cover, catch can replacing overflow jug, fixing front camber, alignment, and driving the snot out of it! Need a few hundred miles then I'll be heading to Ztuner for the dyno tune. No smoke, no leaks!

Having the same lifter noise you had... I'm going to try a top end flush, swap in a thicker oil, and change out the filter. If that doesn't work I guess I'm going to come back and check out your vacuum gadget, lol. We'll see...

It wasn't fun, in fact, since I had to change my CHRA's, I went ahead and pulled that head while the motor was out. But on a KILLER note, I took it out today to my appointments, and she was AWESOME!

I got so lucky!! Changed the oil, did a flush, added Rislone, swapped the filter, and she's sounding great! Glad I don't have to do any major work, I just dropped money on suspension.

Ok, so I know peeps like to name their cars. I'm not big on it, but thought I would give it a look see. I think it's silly giving it a girl name like Sheila or Brandy (no offense if yours is named either of those). So after some research, I'm going with:

Shibui (渋い) - refer to a particular aesthetic of simple, subtle, and unobtrusive beauty. Or as some say "refined but old school".

So am I officially part of the club now that I have a name... And a Japanese translated character set?!?!

I kinda like it. Get some small decals made in Japanese and put them on the quarter windows. That would be pretty cool IMO

Starting some small projects on relocating and cleaning things up. Relocated the fuse box to the inside rail under the nose panel. Also, put a catch can in place of the overflow jug.

Thanks man. Should be nice and dry once I fab an aluminum cover for the bottom. Going to use it as a splash shield underneath as well as a skid plate. ha!

Pulled the drive shaft to replace the carrier bearing. Putting it back in tomorrow along with the new test pipes (ditching the Megan's). Ordering a new pinion gear for the speed sensor, then I will be working on squeaks and rattles in the interior. I have to fix a couple things on my boat, then I'll be ordering my interior for the Z from Interior Innovations. I'm thinking of Black and Tan in the interior.

It's nice to not be doing mechanics for a change :) should be tuning in the next couple of weeks, then we will see what this baby will do!

Not a whole lot going on. Saving up for my Selin translator then new 740s. I'm going with Amsoil oil-less filters.

Got a primer/sealer on the bumper today. Still pretty far away from doing cosmetics, but wanted to feel a little better about it at ZdayZ in a couple weeks. I haven't messed with fitment on it yet, but nice to not have the black bumper.

Finally got around to painting the roof today. Getting ready for Zdayz in a few weeks, and had to get something cosmetic done. Also, ordered Nismo 740s and a Selin Translator today. Should be doing that next weekend!

Thanks dude. All about the clean/simple look :) I need to update the catchcan pic. That was before I made the bracket for it.

Installed the Selin today with new Amsoil filters and prefilters. I'm still going to make a bracket for holding the filters, move the boost controller, mount the translator in its place, and do the flower pot mod. But tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll be installing the 740s!
