yea it's a real evo 3, notice the RHD. My question still remains though...how did it plates. I did notice they were dealer plates, could they register it special as a dealer show car or something?

If it's actually owned by a dealer, it can have dealer plates. They just can't sell it to an individual for legal street use.

who is "he" and why would "he" tell "you" that "he" was under investigation? If my business were importing and/or legalizing vehicles and my financial strenght comes from people knowing (or at least believing) that I can legaly do so, I doubt I'd advertise if I were under investigation for failing to do so...

Conversely, I do believe that Mrex and the other companies doing similar work for other cars frequently are "under investigation" but not to the extent it appears. it is usually simple questionaires that have to be filled out and returned with evidence to prove compliance. at least that's what I read on teh internet somewhere ;)

If it's anything like a smog shop, they're "under investigation" at least once a month. If the BAR is involved at all, be sure they will be constantly trying to reem Mrex at every turn.

actually the owner of the evo 3 is Brian from Driftspeed. He imported the car over as a dealer show care and rarely drives it on the street because of the extensive attention from cops. once again the owner of the evo 3 is Brian from driftspeed, i was there and i have done business with him/

I didn't think any of the GT series had R33's.. R32's and R34's only.. but thanx for the compliment.

Nope. GT3 has the R33 and I believe GT2 did as well. Or at least they had the 400r

car is still dead. Hiro is supposed to be back in town fro mJapan today, I will knock on his door tomorrow.. I'll call today but don't expect anything. no way car will be ready for anything in July... december maybe :( I ma becoming increasingly pessimistic and Hiro's business practices do not help any. wish me luck in ever bringing the car to a meet... much less the July ('04) meet :(
