Don't encourage him.

I can't wait to see it finished. I'll be back in 5 months.

Way longer than 5 months. In 5 months you might see a nice little update, but finished....that will be around 3 more years at least.

ya i saw he bought a Z, i imagine he is done, a lot of the large projects lose hope, or interest in their projects after a while, i was in that spot for a long time ( my car was down for 5 years) i wanted to sell it or trade it, but i got it running and tuned and all the parts i got for it on it , only to hit a deer a month ago lol, and the month after it was painted a drunk driver hit the door.

I dont care if this project is long dead and or forgotten. It deserves a bump.

One of the Mods should dig up his email address and see if it still works.

Hi everyone, long time no see :(... So I apologize about leaving everyone hanging, I've had so much going on. I feel like the last 4 years I've been living a country song, with my Dad passing away, little brother getting cancer, wife leaves me taking everything and ruining me finically. With all that said I do have a little tiny progress on the project, they guy who's had if for almost 4 years called me and told me the suspension is on, all I have to do is pay the reduced amount and pick her up. I have a couple pics but will get more after I pay him and wash the car, it's really dirty, but remember just the suspension has changed.

Thanks guys, it seems that I've made some people mad on here by not keeping up, never meant to. I'm really hoping to get the car this week and clean it up so I can take pics. I really do like the brakes, they are good quality for the price, I wish I could afford the Brembos. As far as finishing the car, I'm really hoping to find sponsors but not counting on it.

So they dropped my car off the other day
Image

Was a pain loading it and getting it off the trailer. Took some work not to scrape the back bumper but we got her done!!
Image
The front bumper isn't on in this pic, the only way we could get it on the trailer.

I love this pic!!

The suspension wasn't adjusted just put on, I think I need spacers but Im not sure how big, wish I had someone closer to look and give me advice, there's no tuner shops in my area:(

The front bumper is just sitting on there, it needs more work!

Don't give up on her!

After 5 years I almost sold my LS240 for stupid cheap. But i kept with it & fired it up for the first time a month ago. Granted, everyone and their mom has built one like mine at this point.

I'm in the same boat- so much money and work involved in these project cars; and when you don't have the time, knowledge, etc to do it yourself, it can really be frustrating.
keep your head up man!

Yep - If there's a possibility of going back to Page 1 and re-posting the pics, I'd like to do a feature on the car. It'll be great to get you some good exposure (sponsors?), and people will be able to follow the build as it progresses.

^That's a good idea!

What kind of spacers do you need to talk about? What are you trying to accomplish?

If you're trying to get flush with the fender lip, that's pretty easy. Get it assembled completely first, however. The measurement from there is gravy - we'll show you how to do it.

I'm going to go back and try and refresh all the pics but I don't have Internet so I'll have to wait till I can go to my sisters house.... I know, times are tough:(....as far as the spacers, yes, I'd like to be flush, I've never used a spacer before so not really sure on how to pick them out. At a later time when I get back on my feet I'll be going with a taller, wider tire instead of the stretched look, although I'm a fan of both looks.

I don't believe it. I was sure this thing was dead, rotting in the back lot of a body shop somewhere, never to be heard from again. Glad you are still working on her. Would love to see it painted. Good luck.

That is some serious long termness to this build. I built my car, wrecked it, rebuilt it, and raced it some more, all since you've been gone lol.

Well it was sitting in a shop the last 4 years waiting for the guy to get all my suspension back on! The last year was kinda my fault, back in 09 I bought the moonface "MF-R rollcenter adjuster" to be added to all the other parts, well they went to put it on the car in November(last year) and realized it was the wrong part, I had no idea where I bought the parts from, since it's been over 3 year ago.... So I was searching with no luck, I found a paper in a box in my office that I wrote down in 09 with a list of parts from FRsports, so now I know where I bought it from but they praobably won't do anything for me, anyone know someone from there? I see they are in here. The parts were never put on, still in box. I think cause it says "SAB13" maybe they thought it would fit an s13, but they are actually for the s14/15, R32/33/34.
