As for a cargo cover, I have the exact color scheme as your QX and would gladly sell you the one I never use. Let me know if you're interested.
I started the soundproofing a few hours ago. I ended up buying a couple of dynamat bulk packs because that's all my distributor had in stock. So far just to do the tailgate it's taken me about 2 hours but a lot of that is figuring out how to work with the material properly. I've pulled off the driver's side rear door and that looks a heck of a lot easier. It's much more wide open in there so less pieces will be needed. I'm hoping that the front door will be just as easy, I doubt it though. I'll take a few pics with my iPhone and upload them soon.

Thanks!

Billy

Hey Alex, we ripped a bracket out of a 2001 pathfinder which worked out perfectly. That was one of the biggest physical issues we ran into. For a second I thought I would have had to take my D3 deck back, that would have been a real bummer. I'm not sure but you might be able to get one from a nissan dealer. So far from my research none of the companies like scosche make a mounting solution for this application. I'm quickly finding a lot of things like this pop up, I'm guessing it's from the QX4's limited production life.

Can't help you out there. Don't want to sound like a jerk but I wouldn't feel right contributing to a modification like that, sorry bro you're on your own.

i had my friends mother make a quilt cover for my sub box ill snap a picture and let you guys and gals see it. its a checkered flag setup. I have some wires to run in from the outside aswell.

I bought a chrome tip for my tailpipe it has 2 sets of LEDs on it blue and red. i plan on hooking the red up to my brake lights and the blue to my reverse lights. just curious if there is a way in the trunk from under the vehicle.

holla back at me

Regarding the Pathfinder din chassis:

I am dealing with this issue myself - do you know the part numbers for the bracket(s). I called local dealer, he said its two parts a right and left, numbers being 280394w400/280384w400. Does this sound right or was it just one part for your. Any info is greatly appreciated.

I'm planning on adding a DD radio as well. I'm new to owning a Pathy, but I install car electronics for a living. The brackets usually come in two pieces. When you're installing, even a din sized radio, sometimes you have to remove them from the factory deck and use them. So if I had to bet, I'd say those are the right part numbers.

And BTW... NICE install... I was thinking of doing the same thing with my sub amp as soon as I saw that compartment:)

Thanks guys I just finished accumatting the headliner, here's a couple of pics before the material was rolled out. Next is ripping out the seats and accumatting the floor. After the roof was done I could tell a massive difference in clarity and the amount of road noise, I love my car!

Question for billy. the after-market amp that you put in the door, did you have to run a new power wire for it? or is it possible to use that wire to power your amp. Also the amp in the compartment under your mat, did you tap into the power wire to run a second one for that amp?

See I'm planning on keeping the bose amp to power the door speakers and running a second amp for my subs.

If you look at the 2nd pic in the 2nd post you can see how I split the power. I ran all new 4AWG from the terminal block through a glass fuse to the battery and 8AWG to each amp. It's always better to start from scratch when using aftermarket products. If I were you I'd just replace everything, but that is also a very slippery slope and it can add up really quick. There was no way I could have afforded all of this if I didn't do a lot of the labor myself and get it for the prices I did.

So i attempted to buy a double din dvd finally. nothing to fancy just some off brand name thing from ebay for about 180 buks. so after having all the necessary parts i go to the local shop to find out how much for an install n the dude was like 165. buks i was like wut the hell n looked at him like he was crazy!so i started on my own.the radio harness he sold me was to plug right into the factory bose system.so when i was all done was wondering why the volume level was not that high.so i go back n then he tell me oh u need the one w/ out RCA's or u can buy this gain control box for 60 buks. this thing was HUGE i might add i was like where the hell is that going fit!

so then he tries to sell me the regular harness n im like the hell with his so i just cutt off the RCA's and hardwired it that way.besides that i think the hardest part was trying to get the damn screws out of the original radio so i can get the bracket off. I ended up stripping two n had to dremel the screw head off ! hopefully the rest of my audio install will go alot smoother

7inch Eonon 1091 some off brand made by philips. I'm content its got alot of features usb, ipod,SDcard slot, bluetooth, review cam, and some other junk i havent bothered reading the book as yet lol except for GPS but for 180buks shipped i can't complain.

Other than the monitor hitting my gear shift knob in the fully open position when it is in park is a lil bit of a pain.

just for s***s and giggles, angle your subs so they are pointing up towards the roof, and you might like it.
