CPQ45: DO NOT put anything but NGK Platinums in your Q. Search the forum for all the reasons why (or just take my word for it).

You will be "Driving Mom's Car" until your post count increases.

Welcome to NICO!!!

cherrypoppinq45,you will be driving mom's car for quite some time if you use the wrong spark plug, search the site, especially on bosch +4 plugs and their potential issues.follow the guidelines in the owners manual or the factory service manual and stick with those noted.

Also, elwesso has a hookup for OEM NGK plugs for cheap... Like $45 per set (which is a steal)!

PMs have been disabled.. IF you need to contact someone use the email function....

With PMs, people would talk more off board than on board... Dont want good information not showing up on the board!! :)

I just got it!! (The mailman is really slow.) I searched threads and found the same yosh... to email and I did, but my email was bounced as if his account was no longer active. I searched Ebay and nothing. I called Scottsdale a while back and was quoted $12 each after I told him about the yahoo (infinitiownersclub) discount.

USE ONLY NGK LASER PLATINUMS... The iridiums are kinda like the platinums minus 1 wheatie...

Its been mentioned on here that almost any other type of plug has had some sort of failure of the tip breaking... NONE for the lasers....

BTW, when yoshi sends parts they come as OEM nissan parts, not stuff like that..... They come in NISSAN boxes... Which is more comforting to me..... Just like buying from Joe.....

Wes - Contact that guy and see if he'd like to advertise on NICO.

He could make a small fortune selling plugs at that price, and we could use the assistance.

I'll be glad to give him some info if he expresses an interest.

Disabling PM is really a not very good idea. Sometimes private communications need not be posted, like some of those above. They are better conducted between the individuals conerned, rather than using the board when the message only concerns the people communicating off the board. It is just clutter that doesn't need to be here.

Too bad it wasn't thouroughly thought through before being unilaterally implemented.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

It was thought through.A E-mail works as good as a PM.

Nothng was "unilaterally implemented".

There were several considerations in making the decision, none of which actually *require* an explanation, but for the sake of discussion, I will do so.

Cost was #1. A secondary consideration was that for every "cluttering" transaction or discussion we have here, an equivalent number elicit some genuinely helpful information. Finally, the issue JeZter references was considered, as email remains a sensible alternative for off-board discussions (as does non-NICO private messaging).

There's a sock drawer in Austin that could use some cataloging. :)

Hence there is no point in disabling PM.

This thread alone proves it. Q.E.D.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

Hmmmm..... I don't remember the posts or any poll asking the membership about disabling PM. It was enabled before, but no consultation with the board members was done before it was disabled, unless I missed it. That makes it unilateral.

Anyway, the ineffectiveness of it is obvious, as is the justifications offered, except for perhaps cost reduction. Funny thing is, none of the other boards I monitor have disabled this money burning feature. Guess they just don't know what a drain it is.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45
