these "slicktop" coupes are just base models, or XE models. theyre not rare at all. haha, the 240 in my sig is a "slicktop" but i totalled it, and now i only have the front clip with the motor and transmission in it.

but now i also own an SE coupe with power moonroof, etc.

btw, what distinguishes a moonroof from a sunroof.

a sunroof pops up only and a moonroof slides back. There is only power moonroofs and manual sunroofs unless your power moonroof has a vent option as well.

if your brake fluid is low i suggest you replace the brake lines, brake fluid does NOT evaporate or gets used up, replace lines and flush all the fluid, and youre good to go for a good 50k miles

think I would have invested some spray paint now, or even just taken w/e paint I had laying around the house and slapped it on. Even finger paint....

i found out it was the rear (overextended) caliper that was leaking the brake fluid. not its fixed but i do need to flush. maybe get new lines later.

lol yeah i know, but my racist/sexist boss keeps cutting my hours at work and money is short. but whenever i end up getting her registered and get insurance and all that crap, when i start DD-ing i will paint the car...hopefully white but may have to settle for something easier.

i have a feeling you will use rattle can... so i gotta suggest white. its very forgiving out of the can. i hate the idea, but i guess i can slide a little on low budget builds.

def use some quality spray cans tho, not walmart 97 cent cans, if you must. 40-50 bux should be enough.

Keep an eye on the leaking brake booster - it will lead to rust on the frame rail below it.

Don't go crazy powerwashing the engine bay unless you have immediate plans to correcting some oil leaks... otherwise you may just destroy whatever gasket/gunk is keeping the remaining oil in there. Looks like a valve cover gasket (easy) and front main seal (good time to change might be if/when you do water pump).

Don't mess with rattle-can clear coat; clear is the most difficult part to get right, and out of a can just doesn't cut it. Gloss white will make an insane improvement, esp with the gold wheels. Nice price on the meshies BTW.

Bro i am really loving your project so far.

I would do interior before exterior. To me that is what you see all the time. That is where you live when operating your street mecha.

If you had the interior as clean as say broadfield's and the exterior u have now. Your car would be SICK. And i am not being sarcastic. Then tint the windows (for security reasons) and just slowly clean up the engine bay and show it lots of love in the areas it needed IE: Replace and Repair,Upgrade. Remember time heals all.

I dunno that to me would be a sick *** car because it would look as if it had No love and no one to care for it, but on the inside it would tell a totally different story.

The rattle can ideas are great. BUT who cares what it looks like on the outside especially with money being tight you know? You saw her beauty where no one else did BEFORE you started working on her.

Keep doing your thing man. Leave the exterior alone. Interior/Engine is where you are at when you bring her to life after turning that key. At least wait till you have everything in good working order and reliable and happy before you worry about the exterior.... Just my opinion.. i get carried away sometimes.

ANY WHO GREAT JOB AND KEEP DOING WHAT UR DOING ^^

One Love,

Ghasty

youve already got unexplicable Orange County Choppers seat covers, but ill let that slide.
i was going to say the same thing lol. but my car body looked the same untill me and my friend painted it. if you dont have no money for a paint job right now, go to autozone and get some flat black spray paint and paint the car flat black.
