Heres the NSX that I saw in Baltimore.

And the two lamborghinis. they were both really really clean, as they should be

:werd: Do away with the guides. They will eventually start to rub again. Looks good bro!! My '91 SE looks identical other than wheels and blue door panel thingys. Idk if anyone said this or not, I didn't read the whole thread, but places to check for rust are the strut towers, frame rails, in the hatch under the spare tire - bad place for rust, especially since your hatch has a spoiler. The spoiler is made of foam and will rust underneath it too. I've got Megan Streets coils on my HB and I love them. For the price, you can't beat 'em. Who cares if people flame you, it's your car, put what you want on it. Also, idk how much you are wanting to spend on the timing rebuild, but AMS has a timing rebuld kit for the KA for $350. It comes with their engine rebuilt kit but you can buy it separately. Might be something to look into. Good luck man!!!

yep. I hate the door panels, glovebox and floor mats haha. z1 is supposed to come out with some nice s13 floor mats sometime soon, i want those.
so i looked today, my new low profile jack goes down to 3 1/4" haha, how nice is that.

So here is my situation right now. I leave Friday for a week in Minnesota, and when i get back the timing chain guide will get fixed. My options are this

1) I take the car to a mechanic, pay like $600 of my dollars, get it fixed, but then dont learn how.

2) I invite a bunch of the local guys to come to my house, order that Ams kit that evil showed, offer to buy tools and pizza for the day and keep the tools. idk how much that would be, but i would then at least get to know more people and learn some. What do you guys think?

Definitely do the work on your own. $600 is a big fraction of what the costs, lol. Besides, it's much more rewarding once you do it on your own. Not only do you have the satisfaction of knowing you did it, but if you have more knowledge for next time. And hopefully you meet some decent people.

Oh, and +1 for Z1 motorsports. My old sil40 is on their 240sx home page. I miss it even more now. :frown:

Yep the wheels are awful. Not sure if you can see it in the picture, but they're on 205's all around. Didn't even bother to measure. I know I need better wheels but I have other priorities first, sadly. Still have to get the maintenance done, and I'm about to be gone for a week

The pinch welds on these cars bend crazy easy. It's almost like the bodies on these are tin foil. It's quite funny. I wouldn't stress it at all.

OP, I would start looking around for some Z32 rear brakes to go along with the fronts. With stockers in the back, your bias is WAY off and your brakes could feel alot better. Also, upgrade the master cylinder so your pedal doesn't feel like a sponge.

And don't stress the wheels. Get the maintenance done first. There's too many people on here that have "hellaflush" cars but can't even change their oil. Ha. Hellaflush is a dumb fad anyways.

Well i have somewhat of an update. My power antenna stopped working, it wouldnt go up or down. so today i went to autozone and spent $10 on a universal stubby one. took me a while to get the old one out before i got on here and read the article :slap: anyway, cell phone pic:

Started working on putting black vinyl on the door panels and glove box too, only got the glove box done so far. it looks decent i think, not perfect but its way better than the blue.

question: I took my passenger door panel off and now the window wont roll up, from driver or passenger side (power windows). what could i have messed up?

No answers? its the passenger window, and it worked great before i took the panel off. the power mirror still works, so i know the door is still getting power. i just dont know what to check other than that without buying new stuff. I need to get it fixed though, my parents want the garage back :)

well i finally got to work yesterday and took the spoiler off. :yesnod
it wasnt terribly rusty but i did have a couple small rust holes. Anyway, I used this stuff called J.B. Weld to fll the holes because i heard it was good stuff, and it was $5 haha. Heres some pictures:

You should never buy a car off 240atlanta.com. ROFL

If you only knew, man if you only knew.

By the way. Turbo dave will fix the timing chain in Powder Springs for $325.

He did mine. Worked great. All new parts.

if i were you, i'd make some extra cash off of the subs and amp. unnecessary really, unless of course you're into that sorta thing :P

The jb weld wont stop the rusting, it will slow it down but wont stop it. If you wanna stop it sand it down to metal, then prime and paint it

I'm planning on doing that anyway. I just had to fill the holes before I prime and paint it.

Alright guys I have another question: My shifter has tons of play. I'm talking ridiculous amounts. I'll get some pictures up soon. Anyway, i'm supposed to be picking another shifter up this week. Should that solve my problem? Or could it be something else?

if yall want to flame the last owner that sold it to this kid, you can go ahead. I had the blue on the e-brake because i was bored one day. I never intended on keeping it but i never ended up buying a new e-brake. Also i never would have sold it for 3k. i had other poeple looking at it for 4k but i left the state and my dad sold it while i was gone...without telling me..so you got a deal because i put over 5k into it after buying it lol. Anyway i went a little overboard in the interior bc i was 14 when i did it and once i got older i started not buying anything for it bc i was saving up for parts for my new car  also i would like to say that i was not the person who bent the frame rails, as i took extremely good care of that car
