so i have a buddy who has a fit and is also a tunner, so we get to talking and before i know it i get my self into a duel with him, heads up race, looser has to buy the winner a meal at the fast food place of there liking. unfortunatley, i forgot that the fit has alot more parts available for it while the best i can get is a CAI, and some springs. so i told him to wait untill the middle of june to race, any body got any tips on what to do besides wait for parts to become available.

Get in touch with the guy at Fox Marketing. http://www.foxmarketing.net. Brian Fox is his name. He built a turbo Versa hatch and he's selling the parts for it. Guy lives in York, PA though.

He got mostly one offs though so hit him up ASAP

He's already sold the turbo, body kit to me, but still has the gtspec underbrace which I believe is pending to someone. Still though, as long as he doesn't have too many parts you should eb alright. I race my Fit friend all the time.At first I used to ALWAYSSSSSSS win, but lately it's been him cus I told him how to launch and my tires don't have much grip anymore, regardless, you should still be able to beat him if you've both got stick.I'm sure.

I assume that when you say race you mean drag-strip style, is that right?

So far there are really only two things that you can do. a CAI and a custom, cat-back exhaust. Soon there should be intake (and exhaust possibly) headers and most likely a cat-back exhaust kit.

Is there anything else that i've missed?

yesterday i went out to lunch with a buddy of mine and we jus started talking about our cars. He has a BMW 320 year 1980..i think..not pretty sure what theyre called. Then outta nowhere he says to me, mann we should race. I looked at him like yea rightt! and then he tells me yea we should, and itll be fair and bla bla bla..then just to shut him up i said ok. Plus his cars stick, and im an automatic(my greatest regret) so that cant be fair right?

John - Maybe you have another friend who's a police officer who can arrange to be just off the road a few hundred yards up, and when the "race" starts you can just leisurely come out of the light while the BMW screams away!

No need to hate bro, I'm good with my LS kicked back rolling in luxury. Thought about a Versa but the performance, as you said, just isn't there, I don't want a Honda, so I've decided on a Suzuki SX4 as my econo tuned car. Can't go wrong with a car that has aftermarket support and cams and a turbo in the testing stages of already being produced.

Am I the only person on this board who's the slightest bit upset at your plan to...

ILLEGALLY STREET RACE?

WTF is wrong with you, are you that short on testosterone that you have to prove your manliness by putting EVERYONE in danger?

Go autocross him. It'll be more fun, and it will make the outcome more unpredictable for both sides.

I totally agree with EV go auto crossing and make it a better race for both of you.

I don't know if you saw this in the news in your area but they had an Illegal Street Race in Southern Maryland and 13 people were killed just as spectators and the street racers them selfs ran and haven't face the music yet.

Don't do it man go to your local IHRA or NHRA drag strip and race him there.

The same company that's making the intake manifold is talking about a turbo. I think he said he started testing it. But yeah the company that is making the catback and headers are supposed to come out in may and the company that is making the intake manifold is supposed to be about 4 weeks from what I last heard.

Well since he drives a Fit he'd probably be good with a Happy Meal at Mickey D's. That'd set ya back what, $2.59. Let him get his rocks off squeezing Ronald's nose

Nope. Thought the same thing but declined to comment. Was hoping that the intention was to race off road. So, was giving the benefit of the doubt. However, if the intention IS to race on a public road, then I would submit that they are unfit to drive a car.
