Which windows did you get seals for?  I'd like to see about a new front seal.  I've checked with them about the rear window seal on a 521, but it's "cut to length" stuff, so it's not a one piece.

MKLOTZ70,
I got the front and rear windscreen seals made. 9 times out of 10 when they say cut to fit they are talking about the fact that the rubber comes on a roll and they cut it to length and join it meaning it is not moulded to the shape of the windscreen. It's basically a circle and you stretch it slightly to fit the glass which pulls the seal into shape. It's a good question to ask. If you want me to ring him and enquire on your behalf just give me the details of what you're after and the state you need it posted to.:D
cheers

I had originally emailed them about the rear window rubber for a 521.  I'm still interested in getting some of that.  I think it was about $75, but I think that included shipping.  If I remember right, shipping was the killer.

I'm also interested in the front and rear window seals for an NL320.  I haven't looked.....is the rear glass different between the L and NL?  I'll have to look when I get home.

State?  Oregon...97080

Thanks!!!

mklotz70,
No worries I'll call him tomorrow. Not sure about the glass for the L320 and NL320 but I can't imagine there being a difference. It cost me just shy of $200Aus for the front and rear windscreen seals together with postage.
Cheers

I was just browsing their site....this is what I came up with.  Are they the same ones you ordered?

320 window seals
GLASS Unit Part No Screen seal - front 1 218.718 Screen seal - rear 1 218.719

520 door seal.....figure it should be the same as a 521
DOOR Unit Part No Door seal (on body) - front 2/car 322.051
520 rear window seal...this is one I don't figure is glued together
Screen seal -rear - try 2.5m 218.005
They've got a lot of rubber for the 510's...how similar were they?

Thanks.

MKLOTZ70,
I just tried calling scotts and forgot all about daylight savings so I missed the bugger! I'll try again tomorrow. The part No's you listed for the 320 are the ones I got and they are glued. As for the others I am only guessing so I will wait until I can confirm it for you. I've sent an email to him on your behalf as well so hopefully I can get a reply from some form of correspondence.

Cheers

That's great! Thanks!!  I'll have to convert the amounts....then I may just order them all at once.  I'm still waiting to hear back about a used 320 windshield.

I just realized that it doesn't matter about the NL rear window...I'm going to be making it into a power sliding window..  :)  ........I gots me a few plans! :)  Maybe I'll just order enough for 2- 521 rear windows.

Thanks again.

one of these days I'll get back in my shop and do something.

you know what's funny is that I have thought about a rear sliding window that goes up ans down...
and making the door windows one piece by getting rid of the wing windows...

I was going to do the vert sliding window in the 521, but the NL has a lot more room.  I just need to find an old jeep cherokee with the power window in the back.  It'll get one piece, pwr side windows too.

Ladies and gentlemen thankyou for all your comments and help last year. It's great to see a forum car site running so well and to see people helping each other out in a "mate" way. I registered my dat and sold it basically on the same day. I have told the new owner about this site and hopefully he will be on and continuing the restoration story for everyone to look at. It's back to Morris Minor modification land for me. Oh yeah! The j15 was pretty impressive. She left a few nice black lines on the road. :D
Any way the new owner said he's going to give it the love it deserves so I wish him all the best. Again thanks to all and I'll keep in touch on this site.

Nice job Matti -   It was a pleasure following your craftsmanship on this truck.  You inspired me to tackle making my own rockers ( or sills as you call them) and I'm certain you have inspired many others on this site.

Have fun with your new projects, and stop by to say hello ever so often.

Joe
