This story gets more and more crazy by the hour.
I rushed over to the location where the car was seen. Dan described there to be 3 cars. One was mine, the other was red, and the other was undefined during our conversation. There were a group of men arguing near the cars. Dan grabbed a plate number for me, confirming that this was indeed my car. The men then began to yell at each other. After that, they saw Dan looking at them while on the phone. I heard Dan say to me, "Oh sh1t they saw me. They're coming towards me." Then I heard, "What the f*** are you doing? WHAT THE f*** ARE YOU DOING??!!! Who the f*** are you on the phone with." I instantly told Dan I was going to call 911 and that I was going to hang up, which I preceded to do. I instantly called the police and informed them of everything. They got an address and told me they'd call me to let me know what happens. I got a call about 3-4 minutes later. The officer on the line told me the following, "We sent out 1 helicopter and 2 units over to the location. There was nothing there. Are you sure it was correct?" I told her that I was indeed sure. I also told her that I would be on way ASAP. I called my friend Daniel (I bought the car from him, and he's the one who recommended this guy to fix the car. I will not mention his name) and he told me he'd meet me down there. We got there and went by the guys house. The TV was on, but nobody appeared to be home. We preceded to go up the street, and met up with Daniel there. Then Daniel tells me, "You said there was a red car? That guy's car is red." There you have it. We now have a suspect. Well we headed down to the market, and of course nothing was there. Thats when Daniel got a call from the guy. Daniel immediately asked about my keys (which had been impossible to get after the guy kept making up BS excuses to not give them to us.) and as expected, he said he wasnt around to give them to us. We got a call back about 5 minutes later saying that his brother would come gove us the keys at his (the guy's) house. We continued to patrol the area as Daniel went to retrieve the keys. My ultimate goal was for Daniel to retrieve the keys, then I would follow the brother to wherever the hell he was going. Possibly leading to my car. Well, the brother never came. At least, while we were there. He actually came before we had gotten there, and dropped off the keys on a window ledge. How convenient.... Just after that, a police car was patroling the area. We flagged him and we spoke to him about what was going on. It turns out that they were actually specifically looking for my car. My car was involved in a crime the night before. So now my car was stolen, and it was hot. I showed the officers pictures of my car from my cell and we spoke for about 30 minutes. They left and continued to look for it. We decided we would go to Kinkos and snatch some pictures from the internet, print them, and bring them to the police department. After getting lost numerous times within LA's retarded "one way street" madness, we found the stupid Kinkos. It cost me 10 bucks to use the internet for 3 or so minutes. We then went to the police department, and I once again thouroughly explained the situation about the guy, his brother, and how my car was hard to steal unless you knew where sh1t was. They told me that they would notify me right away if they were to find it. Now they have pictures, so it should be even easier to spot.
Thats where I leave off for tonight. Have fun reading all of it.
