my car isnt pickin up speed why????

i just replaced the motor on my car with a stock ka motor in my 90 nissan...but for some reason the car isnt picking up speed at all..i push down on the gas and it doesnt go any where...and my manifold near the motor is getting red hot why is this??can any one let me know what to do
