I've searched hours on end with no results so i figured I'd come to you guys.

Very recently I've had cold start issues....leave it in the cold and i hear the starter whine but not even the tinyest bit of cranking. I solved this problem by starting the car every 4-5 hours or simply parking it in my heated garage. Heres the issue, just sold my house and I'm deploying in a few months so if its not warm I'll have issues, any ideas?

Also....new problem, if and when i start my car it will stall out and will crank to the point where it should fire up and nothing. I replaced the fuel pump and wasnt having any issues. I can hear it prime....so we have fuel and apparently ignition....I changed the spark plugs and they should be fine so I'm stumped. I also get a pretty strong smell of raw gas occasionally which leads me to think injectors but they seem to be fine too....Slew of problems and headaches, did i mention this is my DD so I'm finding it hard to get back and forth from work and school.

As far as the starter goes, next time it happens, take a hammer or some sort of bludgeoning tool and hit it (it's bolted to the passenger side of the bottom of the transmission bellhousing where the transmission mates to the engine). What might be happening is the solenoid inside the starter might be siezing while it's cold, but the motor is still rotating.

As far as the new issue with stalling out, I would like some more info on this as well. It was a problem immediately after I had my fuel injectors replaced, but hasn't happened again until last night. After I warmed it up though, it hasn't done it again.

No luck with hitting the starter? Might try replacing it. If it's whirring and not turning over, it's not engaging the flywheel. It needs to be replaced. I still don't have any information on the cold stalls, because mine hasn't done it since last time I posted in this thread.

So i finally got my car up on a lift....I pulled and tested the starter and its fine, something interesting though. Snapped the ring gear on my flywheel, that is where most if not all of my problems are coming from....new clutch and flywheel here I come I guess....
