Compressor surge which results in blown turbos, I'd get a hold of some BOVs or RECIRCs before doing any serious boosting

I have RFLs mounted in the stock location, if you can get a hold of the hardpipes with flanges I'd do that, theoretically its best to have them as close to the TBs as possible but in reality I think they stay open too long to matter. And I wouldnt go HKS they get annoying, or it did to me, had one on the WRX and its just to high pitched for me, I love the RFLs they sound like a semi, deep and big.

If thats the case Dan, I'd go back to whomever did that hack job to your car and kick the crap out of them. Sorry, I can deal with some hackjobs, but leaving parts out is just unexcuseable in my book.

:wtf2:

It wouldn't take much to swap the piping and install bov's or recirc valves. I still think you got a descent deal. Unfortunately some people make stupid decisions that we may have to go back and correct. You and I are both finding this out the hard way.

Was your last car TT, if so wouldn't you be able to salvage some of the hard piping?

true thanks but im either looking for an entire smic setup with the piping recircs and everything or just going to keep the fmic and eventually make new piping for it. I actually fixed it up a little bit earlier. I need to find a place to mount the bovs though

Alright so i found an awesome deal from this guy i know one used hks ssqv and one brand new for 150. I really like the sound of them so im going to do it. But my question is where does the vacuum nipple on the bov connect to? Does that connect to the stock recirculation valve hose?

One vac hose on bov or recirculating valve .. just disconnect the one on the recir and put it on the bov.
One line on each side ,, both go to the balance tube.
