That's awesome Ryan. Glad this finally came to a conclusion.

Me too! Now I have to find another one. It's proving difficult.

I've found a few, but not exactly what I want. There's a super clean S14 in Overland Park for $13K that I've talked to the guy about, but it's not running right now and the guy doesn't communicate very well and I'm not sure he really wants to sell it, plus it has a sunroof. It has a BUNCH of mods though. I found another one in Texas that's completely stock with 17K miles on it (yea, that's right, 17,000!) but he wants $18K for it and it's had a minor wreck and been repainted from the wreck, but the thing looks brand new. Then there's one in Maryland, that's just over 100K miles, looks clean, no sunroof, basically unmodified (has GTR seats, all else stock), supposedly no rust, but it's an automatic. I'm waiting on pics on that one. And that's about it. Everything else needs paint or is a rust bucket, or has been turned into a drift missile.

A replacement has been found! After months of searching, I had to loosen my criteria. I ended up with an automatic sunroof car, which a few months ago wouldn't have been acceptable. But it doesn't have any rust that I've found and it has a recent paint job that was decent and the price was OK (still paid drift tax, but ultimately it was insurance money, so whatever)

Nice! Not bad pricing at all! Though TBH, I don't hate the sunroof. It's the lack of clearance I don't like. If I could get the seat lower, I'd happily keep the sunroof.

I have the same problem with the stock seats. CA18DETBOY seems happy with his Bride lowmax rails. Doesnt have headroom issues in his zenki and he's taller than both of us.

When I bought my 1990 240SX I had to wait a week while the dealer found me a "no sunroof" car. I gained about an inch of headroom by deleting the housing in the headliner that surrounds the sunroof. Plus, many sun roofs are dealer installed and will leak with time.

I thought he was running a fixed back seat, wasn't he? He's also skinnier than me :frown:

I dunno about the seat. I'll ask him. And, no, neither of us is skinnier than you nowadays. :rotflmao

LMAO!!! That might be true. I messaged him on FB, we'll see if he responds.
