I will eventually. It was mainly that I bought a used Alum DS for my Vert when doing the 5spd on it. And felt bad that the coupe was left out. That and knowing that the the carrier bearing would be deleted.WDRacing wrote:I doubt you'll make enough power to need it
I definitely wouldn't want any bigger turbo, lag on this is about the most I'd want. I got this size due to knowing I'd build an engine as soon as money allows.ss82480 wrote:Nice looking build I am interested to see how it works out for you. I am currently working on a similar build but with a little bigger turbo on a stock block.
More like a little over 270whp. 10 psi will net you a lot more power than you're thinking.biggie wrote:Will be low due to the JWT being rich, but hopefully 9-10psi will get me a little over 220.
Wouldn't mind being surprised. I just know the butt dyno of 5psi isn't very good right now (lucky if its 165whp). But I'll do a run at 6psi and two runs at 10psi (will be my low and high boost settings).Chris28 wrote:

Unless you're just telling yourself low numbers so you'll be pleasantly surprised on the dyno, in which case carry on.
You can barely see in the pics, but the lines are ran. Just have to get a Tee tomorrow. Selenoid and Top port on WG (one closest to Turbo, line says 'trust' on it) will be Tee'd with Turbo housing.Chris28 wrote:You are correct, bottom of wastegate should see a boost source. Make sure you T it from something that just sees boost pressure, like the compressor housing or your hotpipe. Any vacuum will damage the diaphragm inside the wastegate.
I really don't want to go to work tomorrow. Then have a 3hr drive to get to the dyno. Fun.Chris28 wrote:Nice, I'm eager to see what it makes. I think I've already said that though haha.
That's good dudebiggie wrote:Apparently they aren't posting until Monday, so to keep you happy...
288/293 at 10.5-11psi at intake mani
Once yours is tuned you should be into the 300'sss82480 wrote:Solid numbers for 10psi dude. Must be a blast to drive.
Called it!Chris28 wrote:More like a little over 270whp. 10 psi will net you a lot more power than you're thinking.
Cool. Will do. We usually do 'movie meets' occasionally during the summer in Raleigh. Also big local forum cookout in Greensboro probably in early Aug.Chris28 wrote:If there are any meets in the area that you know of this summer feel free to PM me closer to when they are. I'm taking summer classes so I'll be in Raleigh all summer.
