Haha, I'm not laughing AT you, I'm laughing at how absolutely original this thread is. Don't ask for help or anything, just announce it. Stay cool

Those AC system tend to fail IF you don't service them and even if you do [eventually]..............still use my oem as built evaporator after 292,000 miles and 15 years, unfortunately every other single component in the system has been replaced. Condenser, hoses, compressor, dryer, sensors, fan etc..................not because they totally failed just began to show signs that a failure might be imminent.

That way never a rush to fix a system, never without cool air in 15 years.

I hate sudden total failures-------no cranks, flat tires, no ac.

I usually have mine set 78 - 81º or so. I've always been impressed with how quick it cools even after setting in the Dallas hi noon sun.

One morning about a week ago it was humid & sticky & even 75 (normally to cold for me) was not enough. I kicked it dwn to 65 for the 1st time. After a blk or two that thing was painful, I can't remember having a car where the air was so cold it hurt blowing on bare skin. I was not sticky anymore!

wow... I have mine set at 69 most of the time.....

I wonder if something is wrong, or maybe its just a lot more humid up here.....

You may have something there.

In Seattle, I would run mine at 68° - 70° F.

But in TX, below 74° F is meat hanging time.

When it is over 100 °F, I keep it above 76° F to avoid frostbite.

Interesting ... I had always found this to be true for my Q45s and now, the M45 as well.

Yesterday, when returning from the meet (see thread in General Chat), the local outside temps got to 107 F indicated, and the AC was so cold, I was running it at 80 to avoid freezing my hands and feet!
