As far as money goes, it's not worth much. However, there aren't a whole lot of them around anymore, and there are definitely people out there who really love those cars.
The car has a 2.4 liter L24 straight six, same motor that was in the early Z cars. Diesel versions used a 2.8 liter variant of the same motor. The L-motor is pretty dang reliable.
One of the coolest features of those 810s was the voice alert system they had, with a recording of a woman that will let you know when your doors are open, when you leave the headlights on, etc. It's cool, but actually pretty annoying, and a lot of Datsun owners quickly searched for ways to disable it.It's actually a small turntable recording...check out this cool page for pictures of the device:

Sedan versions of the car had independent rear suspension, but the wagon version used a solid axle to maximize cargo space and load capacity.
I'd love to own an '81-'84 Maxima. They're very cool cars, and I personally think they're really good looking to boot.
