V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

finally its in home again.

it was a complete stock rebuild. pistons are newand are 0.040 302 cast. they give a little less cr.

:chuckle:

i get rid of holley commander system an put a megasquirt and make it multiport.

engine isnt start yet . next time it will booSt with water-methanol injection and maybe only 8psi. i only want to run in the 11.5-11.8 et safe. low budget & low boost & slow et !! :chuckle:

bosch from a stang 2011-2013

Static Flow Rate @ 43.5PSI (300kPa = 3 bares): 36 lb/hr = 378cc
Coil Resistance: 12 Ohms (This high-impedance injector will work with all factory ECM/PCM injector drivers)

an exhaust valve take vacation while engine was running. fortunately engine was at cruise speed ( 1500 rpm in 2nd gear.) so no great damage to piston and no damage to cylinder skirts.

heads where assembled in same place where block was machined.

problem found.

man at machine shop make a mistake when assembly heads. head valve springs arent same in intake and exhaust. intake valve spring is taller than exhaust spring and they assembly without knowledge about this.

so tomorrow, my friend will to machine shop and talk with them.

Hey man I've got a few questions about this swap. I've heard you can use Ford Explorer motor mounts that bolt straight in to the s-chassy, is this true? I was reading on this thread about the drive shaft to use with a T-5 tranny to the s13 diff, but it was never really specified besides cut and welding two together. Not too worried about tranny mount, suggestions would be helpful though.

explorer mounts bolts 99% straight into s-chassis . you need to remove a little pin in engine mount or make a hole in chassis.

explorer plate mount(metalic piece) is adjustable for right or left in the passenger side. to avoid clearance issues between chassis and oilpan,. you can use some washers between engine and engine plate mound. it depends on your custom oilpan setup.

for tranny mount, i use oem metalic mount and make little modifications. so no measurements at all but its very easy to do.

and for driveshaft, i make some pic more helpful. i hope this helps you little more.

when i did this swap some years ago, there were much 302 5.0 swaps but no information available in websites. so i need to put engine, take measurements, take apart, try and error.

so you need to put engine and tranny at same time(with a shorter or without oilpan), then make engine and tranny mounts and engine needs to sit right, in a good position. after this, you need to take measurements for oilpan and length of driveshaft.

driveshaft is last thing to worry about.

Love the build,and im impressed with how in depth it is compared to the other ones online.

Few questions
You are using the 1996 motor mounts on BOTH sides?

did you use a stock oil pan,or a front sump oil pan out of a 1970's truck?
i saw a picture of your oil pan,but didnt see any mention of where the oil pan came from

i dont take measurements but you will need a front sump oil pan. motor mounts are oem explorer 96.

im working in car very slowly.

i only need to put intake and other stuffs and then install megasquirt. i have a good NA ignition tune and multiport injection from my holley commander ecu, so this will be more easily. so i will copy ingnition table to megasquirt.

I sure you have been asked this a Million Times. So you Used Factory 96 Explorer Mounts and these Babys slid right in the OEM holes?

yes, watch video. you only will need shims and make eye shape the hole where engine mount sits on front xmember.

lol, i dont know if i write it right and translator isnt very helpful.

that mod, helps you place engine in the correct spot. one engine mount normally sits lower than the other side. so this mod help mount get in the correct place.

ems megasquirt 2 v3, tested without problems in the workbench.

its assembled for:

- driving electric fan
- iac pwm with 2 wires.
- launch control with a switch in clutch pedal.
- output for tacho: so when in launch control, tacho will be steady even in spark cut.
- 1 spare output wired (maybe for a shift light.)


in this ecu, there are more spare in/outputs but you need those extra stufs.

so this week i finally put this in car because i need this car alot. hardest part is done so wiring in car will be easy.

im very worse at wiring and hiding stufs but i will try to do my best and hide what i can.

wiring done in intake are:
- 8 injectors
- coolant temp sensor
- air intake temp sensor
- crankshaft position sensor
- tps

only thing isnt wired in harness is iac valve. that will be in same wiring as alternator and spark coil wiring.

finally it runs again. turbo is installed but wastegate opens at 0psi. so i can tune in wot without problems.
