First post, since I just found you all! Picked up a 2006 S AWD, black on charcoal, single owner lease return this week with 45K on the clock. Paid just a bit over 16K, and will be looking at lowering options and rims soon!

That is a great deal for an '06! A buddy of mine got a similar deal last year on an '05.

I'm in the same boat. Just picked up an '06 SL AWD, single previous owner, with leather, heated seats, moon roof, etc... Paid 20k for it and it had 36k miles. It was in flawless condition and it came with:

- Rear bumper chrome guard- Chrome exhaust tips- Rear rubber cargo mat- Floor mats- Cargo net- Rear cargo cover- Roof Rack with Crossbars

I think I could have held out and gotten closer to 19k but it was in such nice condition for a used car we jumped on it. Now I just have to figure out how to get an AUX jack or Ipod plug into it. It doesn't have the SAT pre-installed (just the 12 pin wire back there) so it looks like I'm doing PAC or PXAMG. Love the car!

$33,100+$200 fees+sales tax. Not in rebate region. No trade. Hot smell is bad - else a fun vehicle. Love the seats, Bluetooth, moon roof, width of storage.Ok's - steering looser than RX 330, doors lighter and not as solid (yes I know it is not a Lexus) , value is solid if CVT holds up. Love the look compared to RX.

Post

After unsuccessfully trying to buy an '09 last fall, I just picked up my new Murano this weekend:

2010 Nissan Murano LE AWDPlatinum Graphite/ BlackNavigationAccessory Value PackageSplash GuardsFloor Mats

MSRP $41,275Invoice $37,912

Price before rebates $37,250 (includes $199 dealer doc fee)Rebate ($1,250)Presidents Day bonus cash ($500)Dealer Referral Coupon ($100)Added Rear Bumper Protector $199Final price = $35,599

No trade or financing. TT&L is paid at the DMV in my state - not at the dealer. I was very pleased with this deal. No dealers in the area had the color/trim that I wanted, so initially I got a quote from a dealer about 200 miles away. But this local dealer was very aggressive about locating my vehicle, beating the other dealers price and getting the vehicle to the dealership for me. I'm very pleased with the deal and looking forward many years of driving my new Mo. My new ride replaces my 2001 Pathfinder, which I was very happy with but sold to my brother.

The Presidents Day cash kind of fell in my lap - the vehicle arrived at the dealership the first day of the $500 bonus cash. Thinking about blowing it on a remote start system.

Ditto on gattorclaw's deal:

Same vehicle, 2010 SL / AWD. MSRP $37,710; VPP price $33,011. Sign the deal tomorrow.

Essentially 4.3% below invoice. Interesting twist was that I had been negotiating and was close to settling on $34,100. Then I found this forum and communicated with Promise Land.

Can't say enough about this forum! I'm a believer. Thanks. This is my first Nissan and we are looking forward to lots of enjoyable miles.

Color: Glacier Pearl/ Beige Interior Model : 2010 Murano SL 2WD MSRP --- 34,745Invoice --- 31,791Paid ---- $29,537 ( includes destination charge and assigning of $1250 rebate dollars over to dealer) Options: 1. Leather2. Premium3. Dual Moonroof4. Carpeted Floor Mats and Cargo Mat5. Accessory Value Package6. Splash Guards7. Bumper Protector8. Bug Protector ( Black Plastic Shield across front of hood) This was a good deal, but not a great one. After dealer hold back their cost was about 28,800 as a guess, but I believe in leaving meat on the bone too. Its the end of the year and just go straight to a manager and help him or her with end of year sales numbers and help yourself out to a bit of a deal as well. Mileage at time of purchase was 15 miles on the car. Manufacture date was 12/09. Car must have been sitting for 2 months. Saw the same at other dealership too. This is Houston, Texas, land of a gazillion Nissan Dealers. After TTL and Document fee total OTD was $31,780.

Thanks! No complaint from me. basically lettin everyone who stops by know that they can get a better deal. Just be polite but firm, and understand that the buyer can be a bit directive as to what they pay. Sales folks are very skilled at assessing key factors on a prospective car buyer, and tend to have some basic manipulation skills as well. Its a separate discussion, and my experience was interesting too. Power to the people!

Not to be picky, but it's really a car. Many people who have driven their Mos as if they were trucks are now paying dearly for it.
